Reasonable sailboat tour to Capri............any ideas?
Hey Kathleen, easiest is probably to go to the docks and see. If you don't want a tour per se, and are happy to go independent, I'd just catch a ferry from Naples (there might be ferries from Sorrento as well). Otherwise, the big companies are Motoscafisti and Gianni's boat.
Thank you Julia...............seeing as there are 4 of us I thought a rental would be cost effective. Not sure if we need a guide but I thought I'd check the prices on both. Also we will be there in the middle of May. Do you know if it is considered in "season"?
Would second Julia's recommendation. There is no need to plan ahead in the off-season, and if you go to the docks, you can also be governed to a degree by the weather.
That makes sense................I was just trying to make some plans for this 10 day cruise...........different city every day..........and didn't want to do the "what do you want to do...oh I don't know.....what do you want to do" Thought I'd try to balance the planned vs the spontaneous.
San Michele was Munthe's residence between 1896 and 1910. The fanciful architecture was meant as a perfect environment for the collections of its owner who loved studying the birds migrations on Capri (the only magical stops for birds coming from Africa and going to north Europe!)
