    Brasserie Blanc

    2 reviews

The Winchester location of Raymond Blanc's well run chain of French restaurants. Yes, it is a chain, but the meals and wines were outstanding. In fact, my Loch Fyne salmon was among to best salmon dishes I've ever had! Great location for a warm jovial outing.

Pizza for grown ups! I have always had good service and great food here. Its got an easyish parking area outside with an overflow area at the football stadium. Service is prompt and the food is all made ( as far as I can tell ) on site that day. Although I say its for grown ups, kids are very ...

Great Food and salty atmosphere in this 19th century pub overlooking a colourful fishing wharf. Loads of interesting nautical memorabilia on the walls. Moules + frites, paella and venison sausages highly recommended.

    Tamburino Gold

    1 review

Fantastic food (particularly seafood) with genial, charismatic service. Giuseppe, on front of house, is brilliant and really made our evening with cheerful recommendations and chat. You could have knocked me down with a feather when I found out that he's from Palermo - great to find a friendly Siciliano in deepest darkest Dorset! Prices are a little high compared to ...

    The Yew Tree

Its a bit out of the way, but a lovely country pub. Dont be put of the tiny roads leading to the place its worth it! The food was very good, with a good selection on local and regular beers, the wine list was good and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Easy off road parking for around 15 cars. ...

    THe Gamekeepers

The Gamekeepers is a well known very well respected restaurant near to Basingstoke. It has local and specialist meat orientated menus that change so regularly they don't have printed menus. The wine list is very good and comprehensive and the staff are attentive but not pushy at all leaving you to eat and drink at your own speed. The head ...

    The Chesil Rectory

    1 review

A charming old establishment that has been updated with fashionable furnishings that fit ad comfort to the space. The food is gastro pub..with a lot of traditional British items..I vaguely remember something about cockelshells..but maybe that is just the children's rhyme. In anycase, this is well worth a visit, particularly on a cool winters afternoon after a long tromp. I ...

    The Still & West

Great English pub in Olde Portsmouth. Classic pub foods and ales, but on the real treat is its location on the shore of The Solent with great views of Gosport and the Isle of Wight.

    The Bolton Arms

    1 review

The Bolton is a nice village pub, it has good beer and nice food on offer at reasonable prices. Some of the beer is very local ( Andwell Brewery). Foodwise there is the normal variety on offer, from bar snacks to full 3 course meals! The food comes in decent size portions and I particularly like the Cheesy Chips! Lots ...

    The Globe

Great food, good service and wonderful atmosphere, they serve traditional dishes that really have that home-cooked taste. The pub has been refurbished recently, and they have done it very well, leaving the best bits and tidying up the rest without making the place look like a theme pub. Its next to a large pond ( think lake size ) and ...

Local independent coffee shop with a good selection of coffees and delicious cakes baked on the premises.

    Sandbanks Beach cafe

Very nice place to eat on the beach. Reasonably cheap to eat there considering the location is reputedly the second most expensive location to live in the UK after central London.

    Pizza Express

OK chain restaurant but there are much better independent Pizza places in the town which are also cheaper.

    The Gate Of India

    1 review

Pleasant environment but rather small portions and not as freshly prepared as I'd have liked. However give it a try and see if you agree.
