We gave birth to food babies at Royal Khyber and decided to walk them off next door at South Coast Plaza.
This place is pretty impressive and they've made some big changes since I was last here which was late last year. But sadly, I just don't belong. I even park at Sears because even Sears is mismatched here. What's a Sears doing at Yuppyville? I feel like I need to be making a million dollars to shop here. If you have security guards parked outside your store, then you're bound to have merchandise I can't afford and that's exactly the case each time.
I like walking the Bridge of Gardens to check out South Coast Plaza Part 2. I still can't shop at Part 2 but there are stores like Sports Chalet, Borders, and some others. There's a cool art installation project involving cans all over the mall right now called "canstruction." And SCP 2 usually has a garden fair. So those things are cool to look at but my shopping usually goes along with where other middle class folks shop - Macys, Sears, Origins, Bath and Body Works, Papyrus, and the likes.
I'm sure I'll come back but it won't be frequently, only when I feel like rubbing noses with the elite and pretending I'm rich.

Ok, so I made my shopping list for what I'm going to buy when I win the lotto, but other than that, this place is AWESOME!!!
As I was leaving (with not too many bags, kinda disappointing), they were filming a jewelry commercial, which was fun to watch :)

The best part about South Coast Plaza is that this mall have a great mixture of high end and your average store all in one. It's the perfect size where you can spend a day there and check out new clothings and technology here. Near the carousel, they have a family restroom where they have an attendee to assist you. It's the best bathroom I have seen for family!
The regular restroom's door is electronically equipped where you only have to wave at the sign and the door will open by itself, best thing for a germaphobe.
Plenty of parking here and I love shopping here!Recommended for:Family Travelers

Best place to shop. ALL my favorite stores are here in one place so I can shop till I drop. My go 2 stores are Express, Club Monaco, Gucci, Chanel, Anna Taylor, JCrew and Kiehls. Don't bring your here, all they wanna do is to go home. Go with a group of girls would be the BEST! And, they won't see the money you spend either, which is another plus for leaving them at home.

A great sprawling mall that has everything from the best of the best in designers to H & M. It's split into two sides and both have a little bit of everything. Enjoy yourself during Christmas when everything is all dolled up with tinsel and trees!

Am I being biased when I say this is probably the best mall in the US? No, it doesn't have a roller coaster inside but there is a merry-go-round. I love the collection of stores and the mall itself is beautiful. You have everything from Sears to Bloomingdales. Express to Barney's. There is a wide range of stores but 70% are on the higher end side. There are many places to eat - Z'Tejas, Claim Jumpers, Corner Bakery and Maggiano's.
If you are looking to shop in Orange County, South Coast Plaza is the best there is!

The high end retail complex in Orange County. You'll see stores like Louis Vuitton, Cartier, or VanCleef and Arpels at this mall. But there are also more affordable options available too. It can't be all hoity toity if there is a McDonald's in the building.
