South Coast Plaza is one of the best shopping malls in Southern California. I should know; I've lived in southern California for most of my life (93% of my life if you wanted to know). Sure the OC Housewives shop here, but if you want to live like one, you've got to shop like one. That means knowing where to get the best deals. Sometimes, it's not here, but this indoor mall is a great place to walk off those calories and be seen in your best Juicy Couture jumpsuit.
South Coast has amazing restaurants like Charlie Palmer, Lawry's Carvery, and Marché Moderne. The array of stores here runs the gamut from high-end to cheap high fashion. Everything your fashionista heart desires can be found here: Gucci, LV, H&M, Bloomindales, Neiman Marcus, Armani, Sephora, Jimmy Choo, Chanel, Tiffany, etc. If you can, try parking in the garages, which are pretty empty in the morning. If you ever make it out to South Coast and see an OC housewife, don't stare, just keep shopping.

World famous for being a luxury shopping destination, the mall is not the biggest or the fanciest, but it is packed with many high-end retailers, one-of-a-kind boutiques and some standard fare (Macy's, Express, H&M, etc.). The mall outgrew it's original digs and had nowhere to go but across the street (the Bridge of Gardens connects the two spaces).
