South Coast Winery is one of the best wine resorts in Temecula. Their wine tasting room is usually buzzing from the crowds that frequent this popular joint. If you ever get a chance, stay at their chateau's. Every now and then, Travelzoo will offer a discounted rate for their chataeus. They recently expanded and built a hotel on their property though I still prefer the chataeu's...
They have a wonderful spa that overlooks their pool area. Their restaurant is also fab.
Very romantic grounds too. Perfect for a date or wedding :)

While Temecula is no Napa, it's still a lovely place. My cousin had his wedding at this winery, and it was beautiful. It's not only a winery, but a resort as well, and it's so huge that when we arrived, we were shuttled from the parking lot to the Rose Arbor where the ceremony was held. It had a stunning view of the vineyard below.
We got to check out the inside of the large villa just steps away, where some relatives were staying. It was bigger than my house!
The dinner reception was held in the grand banquet room, which held about 250 guests. Unfortunately, by the time the ceremony was over, the tasting room was closed, so we didn't get to check it out. However, we were able to enjoy a few of the wines at the reception. The Sauvingnon Blanc was my favorite.
We were really impressed with the food. All the adults enjoyed a Rosemary Marinated Chicken Breast with a Chardonnay Beurre Blanc topped with Wild Mushroom Confit, while the kids had chicken strips and mac 'n' cheese.
I don't know how much a wedding like this cost, but I'm sure it must have cost a pretty penny. It's definitely a wonderful location to have a dream vineyard wedding!

This is one of the biggest & most commercialized wineries that Temecula has to offer. I do not think that any of the wines that I had here were really spectacular at all. Honestly, the views, grounds & atmosphere of the whole resort itself is MUCH BETTER than the wines that they had to offer. The tastings here was one of the MORE expensive ones that I've had here @ Temecula...if they didn't have any thing else to offer besides the wine, then I'd give it 1 star for trying...but with everything combined, it's a pretty good experience...the restaurant food I'd have to say is also MUCH better than the wines too. =)

This is wonderfully romantic place to stay in Temecula wine country. Each room is actual small house, tuscan-style and luxuriously appointed complete with jacuzzi tubs. You can walk through the grapevines from your room to the winery, gift shop or restaurant. Also, there is an on-site spa with pool that will make you not want to leave! I scheduled a facial after wine tasting and was so relaxed that I fell asleep during it!Recommended for:
