    Seoul

    4.5
    524 reviews

Seoul is HUGE. There is some much to do in the Seoul region. There is night life, eating, eating, and more eating. Then there is the night life. Seems like Koreans like to eat and drink. Especially in Seoul. I am not a party goer, there are definitely other things to do in Seoul. There is a lot of shopping. ...

POLAR BEAR SWIMMING: It's said there's no better way to awaken your senses than an icy dip. For some, the wacky tradition of submerging onself in freezing cold water is part of a normal wintertime practice (we're looking at you U.K., Finland, Belgium, Russia and China!). But the trend is spreading. Polar Bear clubs have become all the rage in ...

I lived in Incheon for a year, teaching English. It is very livable and nicely close to Seoul without being quite as crowded. However, it is kind of ugly.

    Jeju City

    4.5
    23 reviews

Jeju city, along with the rest of the island, does have a very different atmosphere from the rest of mainland Korea. With palm tree-lined streets, breezy island air, and nearby turquoise beaches (white and black sand), Jeju city has a laid-back feel very distinct from mainland counterparts of similar size. Has some great quirky nightlife spots and international restaurants.

용인 (Yong-in) is a quiet suburban city south of Seoul. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping places, but they are all spread far from each other, so a car is great for this city.

    Gyeongju

I really enjoyed Gyeongju, mostly for the fact it is the cultural center of Korea. It is nice to see a lot of the history here from, buddhist temples to tombs of kings. If you really want to learn about the old history and culture of Korea, Gyeongju is a place to go.

    Chuncheon

Chuncheon is one of the most liveable cities in Korea. The city is surrounded by nature: mountains and river, and the life is laid back. Riverside view is quite amazing. There are a lot of attractions around the city, including Soyangdam and Soyang Lake. There are songs and poems about this city from the old days. Now Seoul metro goes ...
