    Insadong

    4.5
    58 reviews

Insadong is becoming more touristy than ever, but still a great place to feel the traditions of Seoul. The street is right next to the main royal Palace (Gyeongbok gung). One of the best places to shop souvenirs and have traditional Korean food. Try going into the small alleyway rather than the big ones on the main street.

    Gyeongbokgung Palace

    4.5
    60 reviews

The grandest of Seoul's Joseon Dynasty Palaces, the giant Gyeongbokgung complex perhaps bespeaks more of the nature of contemporary Seoul than any other single attraction. Completely swallowed by the boxy grey sprawl of the modern city, on a quiet morning within the palace walls, wandering the gardens on worn cobbles between the ornate wooden pavilions with their sweeping grey slate ...

Great place to have fun, but if its not too much people in there... cause the queue is very long... and don't be fooled by the haunted house, there's two of them... if you a fan of scary place, pick the haunted house that inside the building area.... you know.. I pick the wrong haunted house... not fun and not ...

    DMZ - Demilitarized Zone

    4.5
    26 reviews

Strange... Really don't know how to describe it. I have mixed feeling about it. The Dorsan Station was my favorite part because it implies hope. I'm glad I did it though. I definitively recommend doing some reading about the Korean War and the history between North and South Korea so you can fully understand where is that you are standing ...

    Cheonggyecheon

    4.5
    28 reviews

This was used to be natural stream, then turned into markets. Then decades later, the city decided to bring the nature back. After years of construction (and complex political arguments) Cheonggyecheon got their old nature back. Now it is one of the best places to visit in the city. It is man made, but not too bad to have this ...

    Gwanghwamun Square

    4
    21 reviews

Hemmed in on both sides by rushing traffic and foreign embassies, the newly-completed Gwanghwamun Square, a long and broad concrete plaza at the center of one of the city's most important cultural and governmental districts, is a delightful and sorely needed public space in a city that sometimes lacks for them. With the long avenue framing Seoul's low mountains in ...

    Namsan Cable Car

    19 reviews

I went up the cable car with my boyfriend's parents. There's a nice view from it. If I was going to go up Namsan again I would save myself the line and take a bus, probably. But still, a decent thing to do once.

    Changdeokgung Palace

    4.5
    15 reviews

This is my favorite palace in Seoul (and I have been to basically all of them). The Secret Garden tour, in particular, is excellent, but you may have to book in advance. Go in the spring or fall for the most beautiful conditions.
