Ok this says South Marco beach but don't go south go NORTH on the beach. Head North(Walk to the beach and head to the right) about a mile and this is where your will find the best shells and sand dollars. Time it with low tide and you will find some great treasures!

Renters and Owners on Marco Island enjoy the use of the Residents Beach on Marco Island. This is not open to the public, so it is private. There is a fee, but it is worth it is you are going to be on the island for at least a month. There is a building which features the Paradise Grill, with great prices and seating overlooking the beach. There are pavilions with grills to have small or large parties as well as restrooms. The central fountain is a testament to how much the residents love Resident's Beach. It may even inspire you to purchase on this lovely island.

Marco Island itself is one fabrication of manicured lawns and whitewashed condos. It's an old folks playground and not much more, lacking charm. But the beaches on Marco Island, oh boy! Some of the nicest in the state. And South Marco is the best, because you get away from the stale development that blights the rest of the island. Seashell and wildlife heaven here!
