    Santa Monica Pier

    199 reviews

The Santa Monica Pier is a fun place to visit with groups of all ages. There is something for everybody from the rides to the funnel cakes. This is more of a carnival setting on the beach, with plenty of boardwalk to enjoy when you are ready to explore the area further.

    Disney's California Adventure

    159 reviews

I when here long time ago, back then there's wasn't that much attraction compare to the next door big brother. But over the year they added more and most of the new one are in California. First timer still recommended go to the old one first, but this one had as much attraction as the other one.

The Getty is the one place any visitor to Los Angeles should not miss. Only a short drive away from Santa Monica on the 405 Freeway, the Getty offers superb panoramic views of Los Angeles, the mountains and the ocean. Go to the Getty for its lovely gardens, open spaces, Richard Meier-designed modernist architecture, and free concerts in the summer.

A must see venue if you haven't been before but not a spot that you need to visit often. It get's really crowded and the stores get repetitive too so its not so much for shopping. A good place to see the local LA culture. For easy parking go here:

This art deco gem is a great planetarium but better known for its great views of LA. It was smoggy when we were there but still enjoyable.

    Hollywood Walk of Fame

    157 reviews

I've lived near LA my whole life and have never made a trip just to see the walk of fame. It's a good stop if you're in the area or plan to go to any clubs or lounges while you're there but nothing too spectacular. Parking can be scary in Hollywood I recommend reserving a spot in advance here if ...

    Hollywood Bowl

    106 reviews

the best large outdoor venue for live music in the LA area! Use the park and ride shuttle($5 per person) for less hassle or pay ($20+ depending on the event) to tandem park at the bottom of the hill and be trapped in for quite awhile, then deal with the traffic on Highland - not so much fun! Picnicking on ...

    The Grove

    123 reviews

I've seen the Backstreet Boys here twice, for free. During the winter holidays, snow is dispersed in the air. The shopping center has the places I frequently go to, including The Gap, Barnes & Noble, and the Apple Store. The atmosphere is very upscale and comfortable.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)

    93 reviews

This is the kind of museum you can get blissfully lost in for hours. Even when I lived in LA, I never got tired of wandering through the exhibition halls, which are even bigger and better than before now after recent multimillion-dollar renovations. Personally, my fave is the low-lit Japanese art gallery, where you walk around a circular spiral stairway ...

    The Getty Villa

    80 reviews

I can finally say I've been to both the Getty Center & the Getty Villa. When in Rome, do as the Romans do - enjoy life in sculptured gardens around a breathtaking pool, with exquisite sculptures & architecture surrounding you as if you befriended Augustus Caesar himself. The locale is perfect. Cool breezes from the Pacific flow by you as ...

    Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills

This is for the 1%. Everyone else, just keep walking. The streets are beautiful and it really does feel like you're in a movie, but that feeling of pretentiousness is palpable.
