My favorite painting in the world (Treachery of Images, Rene Magritte) is at LACMA, so of course, the museum was tops on my list of things I had to see in LA. The museum itself is incredible - the architecture, layout, and overall design of the exhibits - just awesome. I loved it. The collection is outstanding, and the temporary ...

    The Last Bookstore

    13 reviews

I heard of this place from a number of internet sources and my curiosity got the best of me. The place itself is in an old building that has quite a bit of character. There's a couple of old bank vaults in the store and a number of random art installations on the top floor. I love the charm of ...

    TCL Chinese Theatre

    6 reviews

I had many good memories here at the formally known Grauman's Chinese Theater. Many star stricken moments for me with premieres and screenings. It's now called the TCL Chinese Theater, and recently renovated. They completely tore the inside of the theater out and gave it a brand new face lift. Now they have stadium seats with more room and space ...

    Segerstrom Center for the Arts

Great venue for shows, musicals, and symphonies! I've seen Rent, Chicago, Anna Karenina, Swan Lake, The Book of Mormon, Yoshiki Classical, and the Pacific Symphony perform "From Screen to Score" here, and every time has been a positive experience. The acoustics here are amazing. The actual center for the arts is very large and if you're at the top, may ...

First time I was here I got to see Olly Moss's first art exhibit. People actually camped overnight for this!!! Going to visit it soon for another awesome art show themed "storybook". The studio is small but it's a good size if all the pieces are small. It does get pretty stuffy in there on opening night if a lot ...
