Santorini is as beautiful in person as the photos we have all seen. There are so many diffrent cities that are great. Oia is the main town where everyone gathers to snap sunset photos but there are so many other really impressive things this Island has to offer. Santorini is actually 5 pieces of land that are connected by water. ...

A once in a lifetime destination stunning.Overlooking the caldera and so peaceful. It is an easy walk into Fira but just far enough not to be bothered by the crowds that come off the cruise ships each day. It has some great small hotels and a couple of good tavernas.I loved it here

A pleasant beach resort, away from the hustle and bustle of other parts of the island, whilst still within easy reach of Oia and Fira. It was also much more reasonably priced than other trendier locations.

Naxos Town is ful of life - in the center around the paralia. I loved the castro. narrow alleys, small shops and between the houses of locals. But you also find romantic and quiet places. There are no big Hotels as you know from other countries. All hotels are white/blue or white/brown and always classy. The city-beach is verry varied. ...

Chora is a picturesque town on the small island of Folegandros in the southern Cyclades. The cliffside, medieval town is closed off to traffic, making it a peaceful place to wander, though it would be very difficult to get lost. Chora is filled with small white buildings, beautiful flowers, tiny churches, and numerous tavernas. At night, the center of town ...

Plaka, the capital of the Cyclades island of Milos, is a small hillside town. The view of the Gulf of Milos from town is stunning. Buses connect Plaka to Adamas, the port. In Plaka, you will find a folk and an archaeological museum.

In Akrotiri you find the excavation site. It is a Minoan Bronze Age settlement on the volcanic Greek island of Santorini. The settlement was destroyed in the Theran eruption about 1500 BC and buried in volcanic ash, which preserved the remains of fine Frescoes and many objects and artworks. The settlement has been suggested as a possible inspiration for Plato's ...

Between Fira and Imerovigli, one of the spots with the best view on the island. Even if officially considerated as a distinct village, Firostefani is the continuation of Fira. A quiet village, which is mostly constituated of hotels, traditional houses, villas, studios and rooms. The area proposes just a couple of restaurants and cafe but Fira, where all the activities ...

Ya-sas! I also stayed at Francesco's in Ios, the owners are kind, helpful and generous. The staff however seemed less than amped to be shuttling us around on the pub crawl and I heard some rude remarks from one. But the views, rooms and company were awesome. Ios is the party island, expect to go out around 11 p.m. and ...

I couldn't help but be charmed by this antiquated Greek port. The picturesque boats and cobblestone streets are out of a storybook. Don't miss the seafood -- everything you want in a Greek dining experience: fresh and simple and immediate.

Despite being a major port town and directly connected to Athens (meaning tons of tourists pass through constantly, as well as a good amount of unsavory types who love tourists) Parikia has an honest to goodness charm that is not to be missed. Take at least a day or two to really devote to getting to know the true character ...
