Loved this tiny tapas restaurant in Old Town. You have to wait in line forever and when you are finally seated there isn't even a menu. The waiter simply asks you what types of things you like. (Seafood and Cava, please, we declared!). We had razor clams, and skate and other sea food, all cooked absolutely perfectly. The food was ...Popular withDesign
El Celler is famous for showcasing the best of Catalonia, so we expected a lot of seafood and fresh flavours and were not disappointed. In fact there was only one red meat course, the sublime steak tartare with mustard ice cream (tiny balls of frozen perfection). This oversimplifies what was on that plate; the full description runs four lines long ...Popular withFoodies
In the Piazza Navona/Campo de Fiori neighborhood, Filletti di Baccala features battered, deep-fried cod, a popular Roman favorite. Little else is offered here other than fried zucchini, white beans with onions, chicory salad (when in season), cheese, beer and wine. Even if you are not a fan of fried food, this is the perfect place to try it. Open only ...Popular withFoodiesLocalBudget
Excellent, upscale, and pricy. We had a very very long meal here because we had decided to have a nice relaxing dinner. Didn't realize it was going to include going through three bottles of wine (oops, I think I just shared too much). If you want to splurge on a great meal, this is the place.Popular withLuxury
We discovered this place when trying to get away from the tourist toilet that is Taormina. About a 15 minute drive away is this beachside restaurant serving terrific fresh fish and seafood. Good wine list too. At first glance, the place looks a little basic, but the food is tremendous and the bill shock not too bad either.
Located behind the Hard Rock Cafe in Lisbon - dont let that fool you - the theme of this resto is "sua casa desde 1974." Like "Cheers" this is a place where everyone knows each others name and its a local fav from Lisboetas. Also located by one of the trams which inclines about 45 degrees and is a great ...Popular withBusiness
The round-trip full Bosporus cruise (25 Lire) empties at Andolou Kavagi near the Black Sea. Cruisers have 3 hours to see the town and eat lunch. As I walked through the main square one of the cooks at Kayik Cilar handed me a freshly breaded and fried calamari ring. Delicious! I figured I'd be back after walking a bit. During ...
This restaurant was on a review as a great local place. Since it's near the Colosseum, we stopped by for lunch. Good food (I was told to get whatever's on the daily menu, and it didn't disappoint), but it wasn't anything MAGICAL. Was it because this was one of my first meals in Rome? Is ALL Italian food like this? ...Popular withTrendstersLocalFoodies
A very 'candid' environment for this completely white restaurant, very close to Piazza Barberini. It has big glass window letting give a look outside to the traffic and people passing by. It is very elegant and raw fish is exposed behind the restaurant window. It could be a chance for a romantic date.
Port Velle offers cosy sorroundings with a quiet, yet bubbly, atmosphere. As you walk towards the big shopping centre at the end you see salesmen sitting on the sidewalk selling their own crafts, or replicas, for a cheaper price than in the stores. Be careful not to step on anything as you observe! Take a chance to snap some photos ...
