My favorite roller coaster! As I mentioned in previous reviews I am not much of a roller coaster person but Space Mountain is fun! It's thrilling without being too over the top. And I love that the entire thing is inside and in the dark! That's what really makes it! Definitely worth the wait good one to fastpass!

A list past its prime but a Magic Kingdowm classic. More about high speed curves than drops. The novelty of a coaster in the dark makes this one Intersting / special.

Absolutely love it, a dark roller coaster ride that starts with a canon shoot and ends with a red light twirling tunnel.

Definitely a kid ride fast enough fir an adult bit very jerky and hard on the body. I think this ride could have an update but for the magic kingdom one of the better rides.

Sensory deprivation in this all dark ride makes you focus upon the movement and not your surroundings. Old was fun but cant wait for the new.

Yes! Space Mountain is awesome - this word is overused, but in this case it truly is. Of course you have to like roller coasters. And being in the dark. I want to go right now!

Woohoo. The fastest ride in Disneyland. I also love how you can barely see anything, adding to the excitement. The store next to it is one of my favorites.

The lights here are stunning! Very enjoyable. But please, get a Fastpass for this one, or be very lucky.

I hate roller coasters and this one was no different. I was not puking when I came off but I felt like it.

Space Mountain used to be one of my favorite rides, but the older I get the less I can take the whiplash (or at least recover from it). I like it the most when they play the Carnival of the Animals, but sometimes they change the music up.

Space mountain is a roller coaster like no other. It's in the dark (for more thrills) and is worth the wait.

This is a ride for all ages and being in the dark just makes it more fun since you do not know what is coming. Either get here early or get one of the Disney FastPasses. to reduce waiting time.

Been re-themed, and the lines a little confusing now. But they've added interactive games to play while in line which is actually pretty awesome! Still a great almost pitch black rollercoaster ride.

Don't get me wrong. I do like roller coasters. But for some reason, riding around in almost total darkness, isn't that thrilling. It is not scary. It is not even that fast. It is more jerky. You are more jostled than anything else. The theming about being in space is fleeting. While on other attractions, you experience the theme throughout, here it is truly lost for much of the ride.
Grab a fast pass and ride it once. But don't expect an adrenaline-pumping coaster experience.

I’ve been riding this attraction since I was tall enough to do so. Now, I take my kids on it. To me, Space Mountain is what defines Tomorrowland and the ride is as mysterious and fun every time I’m onboard. The dark and flashy enclosed roller coaster isn’t too scary - you just can’t see where you’re going. Once you exit your rocket, you’re on a moving sidewalk viewing scenes from the future - love that part, too.

Great roller coaster, which takes place completely in the dark!

It is an optimistic vision of the future that includes zooming past celestial objects to an exciting orchestrated score. The irony that gravity helps create the winding thrills within Space Mountain isn’t so important, as riders are too busy screaming with glee at each unanticipated turn in the dark. Built for Disney World in 1975 and Disneyland in 1977, the concept was developed by Walt Disney ... read more
