Just being able to stand at the bottom of the Space Needle and gaze up was amazing! If you prefer not to spend the money on a trip to the top, there is a gift shop and movie on music attached inside that is a free to the public.

I am terrified of heights but this has an amazing view and great food. But the restaurant is terribly expensive.

Seattle's landmark! I love seeing the Space Needle when driving along the highway because it looks so majestic against the sometimes clear blue skies. There's the restaurant at the top and you can spend time downstairs at Seattle Center too.

The Space Needle is an observation tower in Seattle, Washington, a landmark of the Pacific Northwest, and a symbol of Seattle. It was built in the Seattle Center for the 1962 World's Fair, which drew over 2.3 million visitors, when nearly 20,000 people a day used its elevators.

Once the tallest structure west of the Mississippi River, it is 605 ft (184 m) high, 138 ft (42 m) wide, and weighs 9,550 tons. It is built to withstand winds of up to 200 miles per hour and earthquakes of up to 9.1 magnitude, as strong as the 1700 Cascadia earthquake. It also has 25 lightning rods.

I lived getting to see Seattle from the Space Needle. There is so much to look at in beautiful Seattle! Though I was there on a busy day, the lines don't take long at all. The elevators are very well organized.

I really liked the Space Needle visit. After seeing this landmark in many movies and tv series I was excited to finally go up there.

On the way up I have to say that the sense of height and the elevator moving kind of fast got me slightly dizzy, but as soon as the elevators doors opened I forgot about it and enjoy the view.

Getting to know that a place this amazing (both in looks and engineering) was built back in 1962 and also being able to read more about its history was pretty nice.

I recommend the visit for every tourist, you have to stop by if you are in Seattle, specially if it's your first time there.

Good view from the top, and if you are living here long and you expect lots of friends coming in the year, do get a multiple-entry pass.

Pretty surroundings with a rotating restaurant up top. Not sure if it's worth it to go inside and pay to go up it. It's nice to see from the outside! Especially when the flowers are in bloom.

I actually kind of enjoyed the view while going up the glass elevator, but it's not for everyone (like the girl who was whimpering the whole way up). Make sure to go up when it's not too gloomy. The telescopes on the top are all free, so make sure to check them out. Of course on your way up, they make you pose for a picture, but don't throw away that slip of paper. When you get up to the top of the needle, you can check out your photo and even change the background before emailing it to yourself. Also be sure to try out the fudge counter in the gift shop. They have so many flavors it's hard to choose just one.

It is worth the trip to the top to enjoy the view. Then take the monorail downtown.

I came here expecting more than what was presented. Other than the food, views, and pictures, there wasn't much else. The fun lasted only about twenty minutes before I wanted to go somewhere else in the city. If you come here, pay more attention to other places in Seattle!
