Description

Designed by Alessandro Specchi and Francesco de Sanctis, the Spanish Steps ascend from Piazza di Spagna to the Trinità dei Monti church. Each year in spring the infiorata (literally, enflowering) brings thousands of azaleas to decorate the steps. A popular landmark, the steps are usually adorned with tourists taking a moment's rest and soaking in the atmosphere.
