I really loved the fresh feel of this hotel, particularly the bright turquoise, green and magenta furniture and decor throughout the lobby and the rooms. It kept it feeling hip and modern, especially in comparison to the more classic feel of the adjoining Residence Inn.
A floor-to-ceiling, open-backed desk separated the small living space from the bedroom area and bathroom, which made both seem a little small, but the large, open windows kept it from feeling claustrophobic. All of the furniture and accessories in the room had a contemporary feel with rounded angles and hanging light fixtures that I thought boosted the hotel's cool points quite a bit.
The indoor pool and jacuzzi area offers spectacular views of the city and even though it is shared with the Residence Inn in the same building, it really wasn't busy at all while I was there so I could enjoy the sights in peace.Recommended for:

The suites here are very nice--by far my favorite decor of the suites I've seen. I love the teal sectional with chaise and pull-out couch, and the workspace/room divider is visually interesting, really unique. I can't figure out why two hotels share the same space (You get off the elevator and are facing two check-in desks that share one snack bar. I believe the pool and fitness room are shared as well.), but I definitely prefer SpringHill to its neighbor.
They've got breakfast on site and you can have dinner delivered from local restaurants.
Free wifi, iPod docking stations, and HBO sweeten the deal. Rooms are equipped with mini-fridge and microwave as well. Plus, it's a really great location in an exciting (but not too crowded) part of town.Recommended for:

Springhill Suites is one half of a tandem of hotels that combine to form one of the weirder lodging setups I’ve seen. It’s located adjacent to Residence Inn, but really it’s more like the two are just halves of one hotel. Springhill Suites features a lighter, greener color palate and more modern touches. The rooms aren’t laid out as openly as Residence Inn, but they feature larger couches that can be pulled out into sofa beds, and can accommodate more people.
You can cross from one hotel to the other by walking across any floor and going through the white swing doors. On the flipside, Residence Inn features a darker, redder color palate, and its rooms are designed as a single-bedroom studio. The room layout definitely comes in handy if you prefer a full-size refrigerator to keep groceries, and a small living-room space to hang out in.
Both halves have access to the rooftop gym, pool, and hot tub. All feature stunning views of the city, and going for a dip up there is a definite must when staying at either hotel.Recommended for:

Having been to the Residence Inn portion of the hotel, I can speak to only a few things about Spinghill Suites: One, this hotel is in a terrific area. Two, being attached to Hub 51 is delicious. They have great burgers, and a very cool atmosphere. Then, as I said in my review of Residence Inn: The pool and fitness center are great here for opposite reasons. There is an awesome view from the pool, and there are TVs and headphones attached to all the machines in the fitness center. There’s also a complimentary buffet from 6-7:30 every night, if you don’t want to use your kitchen or go to any of the awesome restaurants in the area. They serve comfort food.

I really needed WiFi and the connection was extremely slow. Breakfast was great every morning. The staff was always friendly and spoke when you passed them. The cleanliness of the rooms were fantastic. Just really wish the internet connection would have been better.
