I thought this would be a not-too-boring way to kill an hour before meeting a friend, but it turned into a really special experience. Each portrait is intelligently accompanied by a brief biographical note, which brought the humanity of the long-dead and mostly forgotten subjects to life. A visit here can easily become a meditation on the ephemeral, if vivid, ...

This is a tiny Chinatown, as Chinatowns go. But the gate entering into the street is impressive and makes for some cool photographs!

Do you like going to the movies but hate wasting your arts and culture budget on big, ugly multiplexes? The Curzon is the answer. Nice bar, indie/intellectual/arty film programming, AND it sits in the middle of Soho/Chinatown. Sure, the £4 bags of fancy popcorn (marshmallow and black pepper? really?) are a little much, but the schmanciness is a small price ...

Really a very cool venue. I went there for Fuerza Bruta and had such a wonderful time. The venue actually acts so much to the show itself. I couldn't have thought of a better places for that show. I can see Roundhouse being a great place for concerts or dance parties. Love it!

Terrific venue for the English National Opera and English ballet. Saw Rigoletto there recently and was very impressed. Even the cheap seats are very decent. Inexpensive too. And stunning decor. It's not the Glyndebourne for acoustics, but it's till a nice night of opera.

Rules restaurant in Covent Garden is where old duffers go to eat game and talk about hip replacements. But if you squeeze past the liveried doorman & head up the side stairs you’ll find a fantastically camp old school gentleman’s cocktail bar; no need to have a dinner reservation. It’s all dark wood, soft crimson fabrics & a roaring open ...

The Hippie loved this play - the history involved in it being the oldest continuously running show, and the classic Christie script. The Yuppie absolutely despised it, so we have to average out our rating here. It's great for people who come expecting a "forumalic" play. It's one of the original mysteries, so don't expect to be too shocked. It's ...
