Nestled in the Barbados countryside on a working sugar plantation, this historic building is a Jacobean mansion dating back several centuries. The house has been beautifully restored and furnished with antiques.
During the sugar cane season (Jan-Apr) there is often live grinding of sugar cane using the 19th century steam mill. From this, a magnificent rum is created at the onsite distillery. Stop by the gift shop to purchase this rum, along with sugar and local delicacies.
There are two friendly cockatoos in a large cage - 'Baby' loves to be petted :)
Have refreshments and lunch at the Terrace Cafe.
