This is one of my favorite hotels in the city. The lobby is gorgeous, the restaurant and room service are both top notch, and the location is hard to beat, sitting next door to Yerba Buena Gardens, the MOMA, and Market Street.

I'll be honest. I didn't always respect modern art. There was a time when I thought it was all paint splattered toilet bowls or cans of soup glued against blank canvas. Yes, there's still some "modern art" that I find silly or borderline pretentious, however most of what I see in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is quite ...

They feature changing exhibitions of the (wait for it) History of California. The exhibits are typically quite interesting and relevant. It's a small place and has an excellent book store.

This is my first time at a speakeasy. This is awesome! It has a historical feel to it and the employees look the part. Very cool. They have really interesting drinks with interesting names too. Definitely coming back again! The Yellow Kid is a lemon drink...creeps up on you :)

Pretty gardens in the middle of a metropolitan city are always welcomed. This one is fairly big and is a great place to chill during the day.

This place oozes sexiness and class. Get there before 10pm or else it gets really cramped! The craft cocktails were well made and enjoyable.

With galleries, performance venues and creativity flowing into the surrounding gardens. There's usually something interesting or even cutting edge going on in there. They show film projects, video, and support outre performance, all in a well designed setting.

Ding! Ding! Where the Cable Cars end and the F-line traverses, you have Market Street, San Francisco's major avenue that stretches from the Ferry Building all the way past the Castro into the hills. The MUNI Metro makes traveling from one end to the other a breeze. And the view from one end to the other is breathtaking and profound.

Otis Lounge is romantic and cool when not too many people are there. The bartenders are rad, have good musical tastes (it was 90s night last I went, apparently) and the prices aren't too bad.

Yay it's open! Convenient location in SOMA at The Metreon for city dwellers. Note: the entrance is on Mission, not along 4th St where the mall entrance is. Do some shopping, grab a meal, watch a movie all in one area...as always, there's a Starbucks inside too (has a separate entrance as well.
