I really enjoyed coming to watch a football game here. I love that you can actually tailgate in the grass lots around the stadium and thus have a great game day experience for a college game. I look forward to attending a game here with a bunch of my friends on a weekender, especially since it would allow for such a great location for a tailgate.
The stadium was recently built (wish it was larger but the Stanford draw is not great), has great lighting, allows the fans virtually on top of the field, great seats all around the entire stadium (there didn’t seem to be a bad seat in the house), and lots of bathrooms and concessions.
Everything seemed to be very clean when I was there. People even policed their own litter around the tailgating/parking areas. Overall it was a fun experience. But its still not as wonderful or fun as the old gray lady and almost 100,000 of my closest friends…

Home of the Stanford Cardinal football team, anyone who attends one of the games will notice the huge Red Zone student section devoted to cheering on their home team. Entrances to the stadium take you to a level midway between seating levels. Concession stands line that same level all the way around the stadium for normal expensive rates. If you want to take a break from your seat and go for a walk, make your way over to the area just below the huge screen/scoreboard to find a little grassy area just slightly removed from the game below.

If one hadn't been to the old, cavernous Stanford Stadium, one would never believe such a lovely stadium with wonderful amenities could have been built in its place. Ample food concessions and restrooms. The energy of the Red Zone, the antics of the Band; it's a fun experience. There really isn't a bad seat in the house -- but beware the east side on a hot day! Tip: If you drive, park far, far away to avoid post-game bottlenecks. Disclaimer: I was a Guest Services usher from 2006 to 2008.
