I don't know if the Staples Center really needs a review...Lakers...Kobe. Kobe...Lakers. Central location in downtown LA, and right across from it is the ESPN Zone.Recommended for:

Staples Center is no doubt one of a premium sport arena. Open in 1999. Majority own by Anschutz Entertainment Group which they also 50% owner of Los Angeles King.
+ Have most of the popular sport and entertainment event.
+ Area constant added new stuff and soon will have a NFL Stadium nearby.
+ Mostly clean and restroom no major issue or smell.
+ Famous athlete like Magic, Oscar life size statue is display outside of the stadium.
+ Recently updated scoreboard and some minor updated.
+ Nearby is loads of re-seller shop, so if you got the $ you can easily find a good seat just about in any event.
+ Still affordable in some event like Clippers/Circus etc...
- Parking is a circus here even in weekday.
- Crime a bit high around the area.
- Can be confuse to access to the top floor.
- Low price ticket or seat are usually are poor view.
- Too crowded in most event due to the location.
- Most of affordable ticket in popular event often brought by reseller often jack up price quite high.
Staples Center is still consider most popular sport stadium in the west coast, so many event you can see if you got the $$$. However, there is some event for cheap like Clippers.
Some event even Lakers ticket can get under value price ticket if you goes to site like craigslist, usually a day or 2, someone might always try to sell ticket if they not able to attend especially season ticket holder. Is nice they going to build a NFL stadium nearby but is going to only mean traffic would be worst then already it is!Recommended for:

I've been here three times. One for the Clippers game, second for Kaskade (floor ticket!) and third for the Lakers game.
The staff is fast and efficient. Security is good but they were super fast unlike other venues I've been to for a concert.
The staples center is surrounded by so many convenient restaurants and bars. If you're not a fan of eating/drinking at franchise restaurant/bar then venture out few blocks away.
Parking: is expensive! Try looking for street parking down Grand street near Starbucks (50cents per hour). Free parking after 8pm.Recommended for:

Quoting fellow Yelper Chris C. "Los Angeles is the Entertainment Capital of the World." Its so very true. I've been to Staples Center for so many different events, ranging from basketballs games to circuses. Every time I hear we're going to the Staples Center (for whichever event it may be) I perk up like a child who's just heard we're going to the toy store. I love this place for so many different reasons: the way it looks -inside and out- , the rush of excitement you get walking through the doors, the food (yes, I do like the cheap, greasy food they serve here!), and the looks on every single persons face. This place holds so many memories, not just for me, but the millions who walk in every single day.Recommended for:

Going to the Staples Center is always a ton of fun.
I've been here numerous times to support my LA teams-- Lakers, Clippers, Kings, and even concerts ( Backstreet Boys, NKOTB, and Kascade).
The venue is well kept with high security and helpful staff all around.
There are concession stands throughout each level, full bar and a variety of eateries like Mc Donalds, CPK, popcorn, etc. They recently added a bbq snack shack on the outer deck.
Parking is of course a pain. I suggest using public transportation to get here if you can or shell out $10-$25 and park at a lot nearby. There's also the LA Live parking structure but that's around $20 as well.

Some really great performances take place here!! I'm fortunate to live nearby the area but also far enough away to avoid the events traffic. Parking can be insane, I would recommend reserving a spot in advance for a guaranteed spot and one that you don't need to circle around forever to find! http://www.parkme.com/los-angeles-parking/staples-centerRecommended for:

From Basketball games to the BET experience and concert! It is the most entertainment building there is in LA !
Right next to LA Live, you will be able to check out tons of different restaurant from Katsuya, and another mini concert hall upstairs called the Nokia Center. Parking may be a bit tough- if your not from LA ! There is tons of free parking if you are lucky to find street parking so don't get trick by the $25-20 parking areas.Recommended for:

I came here for a Clippers game with friends and it was so much fun!
We had VIP tickets, which included special garage parking and VIP floor access. It was easy getting into and out of the parking lot. No traffic on the street from the garage when we tried to drive home.
Staff in the hallways were friendly and helpful. The bathroom facilities on the VIP floor were clean, spacious and not even crowded. The food options were decent, too. I liked how there was a DJ at the game; good tunes to get the crowd pumped up.Recommended for:

So I have been at this place to see concerts, disney on ice, the kings, the lakers, USC, and something else once... Its a great place to enjoy an event.
It doesnt matter if you are wearing an oxygen mask becuase the altitude is so high... or you are down low looking up at this huge cavernous enclosure that appears ready to collapse on you.
None the less its a fun venue. Obviously we have to have scrunched seats to fit an extra row every 10 rows or wutever. But they have all the things you could desire at a stadium except reasonable prices on food souvenirs and beverages...
Definitely go there and catch a game or concert. Its well worth it!Recommended for:
