Two words fits my criteria: Yummy! Bravo! Thanks to 3 of my close friends for taking me out to SF for a nice day of dining, exploring hidden gems of the city, daytime drinking and best of all...shopping! This place definitely fulfilled my tasty tastebuds for some good ol' brunch before enjoying the rest of our day of festivities.
I absolutely love the simple decor of this restaurant! Starting from the farm-style tables to the very well-lit lighting and some sunrays to filter inside and the back outdoor patio area, I already knew I would be a returning customer. The staff was superb! All the finishing touches really came together after being seated and eyeing the whole establishment but it was the food I was looking forward to checking out.
Skimmed through their short list of breakfast/brunch items; seems that everything off the menu would be more than just good. I knew it would be amazing! Of course, I wanted something different. I went with my gut; chose the Sunnyside Joe's dish. My friends got the chicken and waffles, loco moco, a side of truffle fries with a trio of sauces, Dynamo donut (yes they serve it here) and simple eggs, sausages and roasted potatoes dish. Sunnyside Joe's really hit the spot. The dish came out beautifully crafted, prepped and tasted like the best comfort food I've always imagined. Starbelly offers a pretty large portion so my friends and I were able to share our food tapa style.
A good meal to start off our day, mimosas, lavender-like lemonades and planning our full day ahead; this place is a keeper. Not overly priced, good portions, inviting atmosphere, and delicious food; how can you not like this place? I'm a FAN!

After going to this restaurant for the umteenth time, I thought I had better review it. Suffice to say that I have NEVER been disappointed with the food or the service. The servers are always friendly and knowledgeable and the food is amazing. My favorites are the kale greens with pork belly and the pork belly and arugula pizza. Scrumpcious!!!

I went here on the recommendation of another Gogobot member, and boy am I glad we went! I got a same day reservation, which seems to be doable on weeknights -- although it was totally packed. They were having a Patio Picnic on their back patio where they were doing a pig roast with sides & dessert -- I hope they do that again because I want to try out their Patio Picnic next time!
We ordered the mushroom pizza and the "Fava Green" pizza with truffle oil. Both were delicious and the pizza connoisseurs in the group raved about the crust. We also had the burrata (AMAZING) and the pate. Other Gogobot reviews advised to save room for dessert, and that was excellent advice. We had the salted caramel pot de creme which was ridiculously awesome and the toffee cake with mascarpone cheese. All in all, I would happily eat here again any time. So many more dishes to try next time!

What blew my mind about Starbelly wasn't the beautiful space, the great drinks or the tasty plates of food. What blew my mind was the price. Compared to other hip joints in SF, Starbelly felt more down-to-earth in terms of my now-happy wallet.
Most memorable were perhaps the pate plate and the Coca-Cola cocktails. Very tasty!

It was a rainy afternoon and we met up with some friends who lived nearby for lunch. They chose this adorable restaurant called Starbelly.
First off, I loved the name of the restaurant. It's fun and whimsical.
Secondly, I adore the drinks that they have! Such a fun and eclectic mix of drinks that you just have to try! They also have some good non-alcoholic versions too.
Thirdly, I adored their food! I had their burger and it came out so fresh and juicy. Eating this and sipping on some white sangria was one of the highlights of my day!
We didn't even have a wait for brunch. Just walked in and was seated 30 seconds later (2 seconds to say hello, 5 seconds to say Party for four, and 23 seconds to walk to our table!).
Amazing! I think we need to have another brunch with my friends again. Soon. Very, very soon.

I love Starbelly...in all the times I've eaten here, the food has always been fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. Their description of "California comfort food" hits the nail on the head, whether it's a Prather Ranch burger with avocado or one of their gourmet pizzas (Pt Reyes goat cheese or bacon, jalapeno, and green goddess dressing are some of their offerings). I'm the type of eater for whom small plates were invented -- I like to try a little bit of everything -- and Starbelly fills this taste. I love pairing their vegetable sides (spinach or broccoli rabe) with a meat or fish dish.
Communal tables provide an air of conviviality in an already lively neighborhood, pretty much guaranteeing a fun dining experience.
