STAY is a quirky little Hotel/Hostel spot. Rumor has it that you can stay here for as little as around $22/night, but private rooms start at about $65. The location might not be ideal, but it's pretty close to the bus lines that can wisp you away to Santa Monica or Beverly Hills with ease. With the money you save, plan to eat out, the included breakfast is just cereal and milk.

This is a sort of hotel/hostel hybrid, with both private rooms and dorm rooms available. This gives it a more unique atmosphere than either a hostel or a hotel since the group of guests is a bit more mixed.
I found the room's to be fairly comfortable and well designed. It's kind of cool that it's in this historic sort of building. My main complaints would be that there isn't any air conditioning and the bathroom's are decent but not great.
The hotel itself is right on Main street Downtown so there is there is easy access to trains and buses for those not driving. There are also plenty of options for eating, drinking and shopping nearby, along with a number of galleries.
For those who have not been Downtown before, here's the deal: Downtown was dead for a long time but has been going through a revitalization recently, so there is still quite a bit of grit. There are cool, trendy shops and cafes, but also a number of homeless people.

The shiny lobby, bathed in white with orange accents and bright starburst light fixtures, is a hip and cool spot downtown for 20-somethings. Fabulous floral wall treatments and furry touches greet you after passing the café style sidewalk seating. Climb a flight to the elevator to reach the hotel/hostel’s floors with cute rooms (twins or a queen), outfitted with a computer desk and chair, bed with storage drawers (in lieu of a closet) and orange plastic knock offs of Pedro Friedeberg’s famous hand chairs. There’s a kitchen to make meals, lockers, public areas and computer desks in the mezzanine floating above the lobby. The front desk is helpful with great directions and tips. The surrounding area is a bit iffy but is gentrifying with shops opening, restaurants, art galleries, and the monthly art walk. Attractions The center of downtown and its attractions is just a few blocks away as well as the Metro. Be careful with parking, the indoor lot just a couple doors north on Main offers the better deal than the one next door or across the street and is open 24/7. There are iPod docks available on request.Recommended for:

This is the kind of hotel I would recommend to any of my hipster nieces and nephews. The lobby is great, full of sunshine and decorated in a classical/ modern twist featuring white leather sofas and orange detail. Just outside the lobby there are tables and chairs in case you want to have some coffee and enjoy the sunshine and watch the passersby.
It's a small boutique hotel and hostel that has rooms with bunk beds that have shared bathrooms or private rooms with own bath. Eighter way I just loved the way the rooms are bright and cheerful. All rooms have flat screen T.V.'s and ipod dock stations.
There is free wifi in the lobby and lounge area, the lounge area also has a huge flatscreen and a foosball table. They also have Xbox games available for those that want to play.
They serve a free continental style breakfast and there is a great little coffee house next door with a good menu of sandwiches and salads as well as yummy pastries. They also have a 24 hr. self serve Laundromat for the busy traveler.
The location is great, with easy access to the metro station. All around it are bars, night clubs, and terrific restaurants. This hotel isn't for everyone, but it is for the cool, hip, under 30 crowd. Looks like a blast.Recommended for:
