I booked this hostel for a colleague’s son from England and went to check it out while he was there. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that though I initially thought it was for backpacking kids on a budget, I would also be just as happy staying here—especially for $50 per night! The cute little rooms are very clean, with polished wooden floors and nice comfy beds, and a tiny desk and chair and flatscreen tv. They also have free wireless internet and an iPod musicbox (definitely something young kids want more than me but I’d be very happy to charge my iPhone.) There’s no private bath, but the bathrooms and showers are quite clean and lock privately. The K-town surroundings are a bit bleak, but you can find good Korean food for sure, and the Beverly location is centrally located on a good bus route to LA attractions.Recommended for:Backpackers

I loved this place. It's a hostel style hotel, clean, modern and convenient. My cousin and I stayed here. We each had our own private room. Easy access, no keys necessary, just a good memory so you can use the coded door locks. The memory foam mattresses were great. Each room has a flat screen TV, wall safe, frig, desk and chair, with bottled water provided. There is a small convenience area with a free wifi printer, and hot drink maker for coffee, tea and hot chocolate with sugar and cream provided. There is also a microwave, paper plates and cutlery provided, as well as a sink for easy clean up. The shared bathrooms were easily accessible as well as wheelchair accessible and were well stocked with soap and shampoo. The free wi-fi made it easy for me to check on work, and stay in touch with friends and family.
Convenient location with access to public transportation, many local restaurants, and a convenience store, just a few steps away.
I would definitely recommend this place to all who seek a clean, comfortable, reasonably priced place to stay in LA.

This place is absolutely wonderful, and it certainly deserves no lower than 4 stars for the amazing bargain of $45-$55 a night. The location is wonderful for getting around any part of LA you'd want to explore, especially Hollywood or DT LA.
Doesn't even feel like a hostel, because you get your very own security locked room. Wood floors, Scandinavian design table bed frame, chair, and bathrooms, as well as flat screen tv, memory foam mattress make this easily a diamond in the rough. And I mean that to be figuratively as well as literally, because Koreatown can be a little shady at times, but I, personally didn't feel unsafe. StayON Beverly is tucked away from in shady areas of Koreatown anyway.
Hope to see more people give this the perfect rating it deserves as it has had on Tripadvisor and Yelp. Bo is the manager, and he's extremely friendly and helpful; really good guy.

This is a very unique little hostel. I’ve never been in one this clean—even the blankets are laundered daily. There are only 10 rooms, and they must be reserved in advance and paid for via credit card. Guests receive a code for the front door a few days before their stay, and the locks on the guest rooms themselves are very secure. All are equipped with memory foam mattresses, small TVs and mini-fridges. It’s surprisingly quiet here, since most guests tend to be over 25—this is not a party place. WiFi is free throughout. Bathrooms are shared.
The location is a bit offbeat, but convenient for travelers comfortable with public transportation. There are only five parking spots, and they are available on a first-come basis. Check in time is 4pm; check out is at 11am, and there are no exceptions. They are not able to hold luggage either.
