"I'm feeling it!"
Yes my girls and I had loads of fun hanging out at the Stingaree. We went on a Saturday night and enjoyed all the music they had, and I definitely felt the beats when they played our friend Usher.
Stingaree, located in Gas Lamp, is probably one of the hot spots, in regards to partying. This place was literally packed, and decorated all modern like, with I believe 3 stories. The roof top was even packed! I'm definitely returning next time I'm in town :)

the dj at stingaree must have a serious case of ADD. within the 2 hours i was at stingaree he must've went through hip hop from the 1980s all the way to today.
ever played kareoke revolution on "medley mode"? the music was exactly it, it switched from song to song every minute. they played songs that had popular chorus and you would find people around you shouting from song to song.
drinks are expensivo. 2 shots and a redbull jager for $35. um... hello? last time i checked stinagree is in sd, not la. bartenders and bouncers have a serious case of stick-up-the-ass as well. sorry stingaree, you stinkaree.

Stingaree lost its place as the "it" club a while back as downtown SD clubs often do; the turnover rate is faster than the bouncers rejecting groups of guys trying to get in. I would not necessarily suggest it unless you are going to see a specific artist or DJ- they still bring in some legit talent.
