The capital and one of the most beautiful cities in Sweden. Great shopping, beautiful old buildings and some great clubs as well. It is quiet expensive though!

Just arrived! Such a beautiful and picturesque city! In midsummer the sun up here never really sets! It's a lovely twilight all night long! The city is very walkable and set up some central ares with a concentration of shops and restaurants. They have all the best shops all set up with eye attracting displays.

The Swedes are quietly keeping their heads down so the rest of us don't realize how well there living and screw it up for them. They have something figured out up there. It's beautiful, clean and everything seems to wealthy, at least in Stockholm.

Favorite city in the world!! This is a walking city with great views, water to swim in during the summer and skate on in the winter. Fabulous hidden cosy cafes with great coffee and bars with house brews https://www.facebook.com/groups/StockholmPubCrawlers/

The 'Venice of the North', Stockholm is laid out beautifully across a number of islands, each with its own character. The underground or metro service is very efficient but it's a very walkable city, so I recommend going on foot at first to get an idea of the different areas. A stroll along the cliffs on Södermalm is a good place to start - you get perspective over the layout of the city and also just great views!

I live in Stockholm and the Christmas spirit sure can be felt here. Most stores decorate, some do it traditionally and others in their own, unique way. Along the streets, especially along Queen Street, there are lightning and decorations outside as well as in the shopping windows. Just around the corner you find The Hay Market, which usually is covered with beautiful white snow and small stands with both clothing and Christmas goodies. Just make sure you bring your gloves and a thick coat. The cold can be hideous sometimes.
