Studio 6 Austin Midtown

6603 North Interstate 35 Frontage Road, Austin, TX, United States
3.5
4 reviews

It's pretty bare bones, but it's just finishing up a remodel as of January 2014. It has those new, fresh-feeling Motel 6 rooms with faux wood floors and lime green everywhere. The studio includes an updated kitchen. But you won't find a pool or fitness room here. Instead, take a short walk to some nice restaurants nearby.

I have literally eaten here about 30 times and I have never been disappointed. The food is inventive, thought-provoking, consistent and just delicious. I recently took several family member with vegetarian and vegan diets and they loved it. My dad is a very critical 60+ year old Indian man and he left Uchiko saying, "In 60 years I have never ...

    Contigo

2.7 mi from Studio 6 Austin Midtown

One of my favorites in Austin! Contigo is off-the-beaten-path, so you don't need to fight the crowds the same way you might if you were waiting for a table at a downtown restaurant. Plus, even if you do have to wait, they have a killer cocktail menu to help pass the time. As far as their food goes, they have ...

A New York trained chef couple with great culinary pedigrees found their way to Austin where they opened up this great neighborhood like restaurant. The restaurant is tiny and is no bigger than a regular sized house so the tables are all pretty close together. They operate with evolving menu, but everything is consistently good. My favorite dish is their ...

Cute little fromagerie with a delicious kitchen. It has a post modern feel with white tables and floors, and dark gray walls. Parking is a bit tight. In terms of the dishes served, they are rather generous and a bit on the rich side, but all delicious. I recommend brunch and dinners. Epicerie has a wonderful selection of cheeses, rather ...

Kerbey Lane is an Austin classic and rightfully so. They have been serving great food for years and have been serving it 24 hours a day. While the service can be a little aloof at times, the breakfast food like pancakes and breakfast tacos are always a hit. Another favorite of mine is the large entree salads. I like the ...

A mainstay of this delightfully weird college town since 1980, Mother’s delivers a wide array of vegetarian comfort food—at grad-student prices. Specialties of the airy café include artichoke-heart enchiladas smothered in cheese, a fried chile relleno topped with currants and pecans, and barbecue tofu with a side of black-eyed peas. Most dishes can be tailored to vegan diets by substituting ...

Fonda San Miguel used to frequent the top 10 list of best restaurants in austin, but I think the owners let that slip by. It is still an Austin local favorite and offers something more authentically Interior Mexican in a town full of Tex-Mex. The restaurant has a sophisticated take on Mexican decor and the highlight would be their weekend ...
