A nice, small plates restaurant that makes creative, fusion dishes with bold flavours. Chef Timon, the executive chef, won a James Beard for best chef South 2014 - and it is well deserved. They make great crudos, the wagyu sliders are delicious and so are the bacon wrapped dates. Seat at the patio and enjoy the sunshine in the day, cool breeze at night - and chill atmosphere.Recommended for:

I would have given this place four stars if we hadn't had to wait an hour and a half for a table that I had a reservation for. But it was Saturday night, so I can't complain too much. When we were finally seated the service was excellent and they gave us a few free appetizers for the wait. I recommend the Spice of Love cocktail. It will give you hope in life. Also, the small plates are strange and inventive, but will give your taste buds a little kick in the pants. Duck and waffles? Why not?Recommended for:

This is my casual go-to spot whether it’s for lunch, brunch or happy hour. The tapas are incredible and so are the cocktails (Spice of Love is great). I love the roasted tomato and burrata salad. They have an amazing happy hour with Chef Timon’s great small plates, robata-grilled skewers and crudo. You can sit outside in the courtyard and feel like you're in another country. Inside is always bustling and there’s a great open kitchen and robata grill where you can watch the magic happen.Recommended for:

This is a very cool place both for lunch and dinner. It has nice tables both inside and outside. The environment is romantic with lights all around outside. Food is good, you could choose tapas, raw fish and sushi. Great apple juice at lunchtime.

Escape Miami’s midtown district by retreating to Sugarcane’s 850-square-foot outdoor oasis, complete with vintage garden gates, star-shaped light canopies, and 52 seats. The restaurant has three distinct kitchens—a robata, a hot grill, and a raw bar—all of which deliver Latin-inspired food to the terrace. One order to start: shrimp ceviche and a caipirinha or two.Recommended for:

With so many places to choose from for food in Miami I took a chance on this place and I won! We shared a bunch of different small plates which worked out perfectly for our group. If you go you must try these menu items.
