Let me start by saying that this is not a resort or a 4* hotel. But for a basic, budget hotel, it is a great place to stay. Although a little dated, the rooms are all very large and include a refrigerator and microwave. We paid extra for an ocean view room but it was kind of enclosed and had bars that obstructed part of the view. It was still nice to have though to sit outside and people watch. The rooms without balconies face a wall that is only about 18” away, so if you can get a balcony - do. This hotel, like any other in town, is noisy. It is right on the main drag but that's what we like; very convenient to everything: food, bars, shopping. Staff is friendly.
Only gripe we had was that on the 3rd floor the water pressure was very weak and it took nearly 5 min to warm it up in order to take a shower. Other than that we liked our stay. We also loved the breakfast in Casa Mexicana (available during off season only). The maids do a great job cleaning, especially if you leave them a buck or two on the table each day (btw, you want to do this daily, instead of at the end of the week, it encourages them to do a nice job for you). The free Internet is nice too, although sort of weak in most of the room. I would come back again.
