Sundance Film Festival is where it's at in Utah during January! Upcoming films from all over are shown throughout the city during the Festival. No names & celebrities alike come to Park City for the event so the place is literally bursting at the seams! My advice- take local transportation, make reservations, bring walking shoes & arrive anywhere you're going early! It's an event you'll remember forever!

We love sundance. Who ever thought we would watch a zombie move at this film festival and then it actually goes prime time in local theaters. There is so much energy and fun during these two weeks in Park City. If you love film, then you've got to come during this time and check things out.

Love this time of year because of all the big name musicians/DJs our local venues are able to line up. The movies and events are interesting if not outstanding most of the time. We keep saying this is our last year to do Sundance, however when this time does come around, we just can't say no. The restaurants even get glitzy and more foodie with their menus :).

Mingle with celebrities day and night and be the first one watching some outstanding movies becoming the best ones of the Year. As tradition has it, one week in January PC streets are closed for traffic but packed with actors, artists and celebrities debuting their newest films. Introduced years ago by Robert Redford to support new art and movies it has become a venue in Park City you will not want to miss - just make sure you plan ahead of time because accommodations and restaurants fill up quickly.

what's not to love about a sleepy mountain town coming alive with ten times the people it could ever hope to accommodate. These ten days in January are really what put Park city on the world map. make sure to book a hotel 5 months out. it fills up crazy fast

For 10 days every year Park City's size quadruples for the film festival. Every accomadation is booked, traffic down all the streets comes to a stand still and every restaurant/bar is packed. The festival is spread out throughout the city so buses shuttle people from theater to theater for screenings - adding to the congestion. For those who live in PC, Sundance is a dreaded time of hour long commutes (for 10 minute normal routes) and a week where our hang outs become to crowded and expensive for us; but the festival brings a great life to Park City and the chance to see some of the best independent films of the year is a chance not to be missed! The festival is fun to experience, once, if you are a resident - but if you are in town just for the 10 days, enjoy the films and the city, but remember that PC is far more magical when it is 1/5 as crowded!
