Sunriver has so much to offer in all seasons. Very close to skiing at Mt. Bachelor. Miles of bike trails, wonderful pools and fly fishing. Short drive to Bend.

Sunriver is a great place for folks who like being out of doors. The resort itself (Sunriver is actually the name of the resort, not the town which is confusing) is massive. It's sort of a town unto itself with a hotel, some condos, a number of small homes all of which are connected by bike paths. There are plenty of places to eat, some operated by the resort and some that are inedpendent. Things to do at the resort include biking (lots of it) horseback riding, kayak/raft/canoeing down the Deschuttes river, golf and tennis. Nearby the resort there are great hiking trails, the cascade lakes, a bunch of volcanic parks and the funky town of Bend. A great place for a family vacation.
