Wonderful quiet ocean cove with a nice soft, sandy beach. Very mellow current and a slightly-warmer-than-the-ocean water temp that can be quite a warm spot on a sunny day! Great place for kids with minimal current and a long, slowly deepening shelf that is great for kids to play, paddle-boarding, kayaking, etc. The Park features nice trails that follow the coast-line, playground, a nice building for gatherings or parties that can be reserved through the state park, lots of parking, and a wonderful campground that is walking distance to the beach. Very picturesque, Sunset Bay is a showcase for some of the most beautiful sunsets on the Oregon Coast and great scenes from any angle. There is also great fishing off the rocks at the mouth of the bay to catch perch, rock-fish, ling cod and more!Recommended for:
