SW Hotel

615 Broadway St., San Francisco, CA 94133

At the very edge of Chinatown and North Beach sits the SW Hotel, which means there’s plenty (and I mean *plenty*) of action to be had. Hot bars and restaurants are located just a few steps away (Rosewood, for example, is just across the street). The Financial District is also two big blocks away. I was surprised when I first ...

A great pizza spot. I ordered the 3 course pizza- which consisted of one large rectangle pizza with 3 sections- an "app" and main course and a desert pizza. I loved it... My brother ordered the meatball appetizer and gluten free pizza. Everyone loved what we ordered.

I really liked this place- its asian fusion. I loved the dish I ordered- the sea bass. It was cooked perfectly and it was a good sized portion. You have to make a reservation because the place gets very crowded! I will go back in the hear future!

This place has great new-Mexican food. Their fish tacos, tortilla soup and margaritas are fantastic. There is no sign, just a red brick facade and a red light outside. They don't take reservations but are well worth the wait. If you go when they open you should get seated right away.

I love egg tarts and when I asked around about places to go in San Francisco, Golden Gate Bakery was suggested to me. I was able to get to Chinatown via cable car from Union Square. The walk was short and I found myself out front. They don't allow photos inside so I took a photo of the storefront. The ...

*4.5 stars* BIX is an incredible dining experience that takes you back to (what I imagine to be) the days of when Sinatra was king and jazz was the norm. The ambiance oozes class and you feel important to even be allowed inside. Usually, I would brush this off as a pretentious restaurant filled with snobs and douchebags, but BIX ...

One of the best pizzas in town. When I tried it the first time, I have fell in love with it. They cut in square slices and make it in my different flavors just right in front of you. My favorite is Pesto.

Magically, Vesuvio's has a time machine. As you walk in, you are instantly transported to some time between 1850 and 1950, depending on the crowd and the vibe. You either feel like you're in post-Gold Rush, Barbary Coast San Francisco or 1950s beatnik North Beach. The stained glass and dark wood decor certainly helps. I'm not a sit-at-a-bar-and-shout-at-each-other kind of ...

As promised, a nice low key dinner with my OG. We thought we were the early bird, apparently, many were already dining when we got to the scene. Seated promptly between two nice couples who practically ordered the same thing as us. Taking a look at the menu, I could not understand some of the words, let alone trying to ...

Amazing deserts. Love the ricotta cheesecake. Great place to sit in if it's a sunny day in North Beach. The coffee is good (but not as great as you would expect from an Italian coffee-shop).

Awesomeeee seafood restaurant in North Beach. Got here at 8:30pm on a Saturday, it was slammed with a wait on the street. The hostess who happens to be the owner's sister in law rejected us because it was way too busy! She said she's not taking anymore on the wait list. Used my charm and got us on the list ...

Went here for breakfast...left totally satisfied. The place is pretty small, so my friend and I had to wait for about 10 minutes to be seated. While standing in line I noticed how the cooks were using this huge grill that was constantly rotating, which I thought was pretty cool. I ordered the Eggs Benedict here and my favorite part ...

    Caffe Trieste

    0.07 mi from SW Hotel

When I first came to San Francisco, I was told Caffe Trieste served the best coffee. Now overshadowed by the numerous coffee start-ups like Four Barrel, Sightglass and the handful that came before, it's become more of a premium neighborhood cafe. Service is good and the interior is comfortable, though it's not the prettiest place to relax.

A long line and a yelp sticker sign at the door is definitely a good sign. Decided to get something to eat quick at this place since a group of us was in Chinatown. I have to say the dumplings and dim sum was good here. Definitely worth trying!

I had previously avoided this place thinking it was a tourist spot but it was on our food tour and I had to try the cracked crab with linguine. It turns out to be outstanding and the owner provided some musical entertainment as well!
