This is such a typical tourist thing to do, but it's that way for a reason! These iconic boats are gorgeous, and you can't beat the experience. I still remember my first visit vividly.

These elegant boats have been carrying visitors around the public garden pond since the 1800s: paddle yourself among the hundreds of ducks and swans, past great weeping willows and fragrant flowers, and soak up some sun. On a sunny afternoon, this is a delightful and memorable way to relax - and the entrance fee is minimal and well worth it!

If you are traveling with young kids or you want a romantic activity checkout the sean boats in Boston Common. It's cheap and very sweet. 15 minute cruise around the duck pond, the backdrop of Robert McKloskeys book "Make Way for Ducklings".Recommended for:Family Travelers
