Swissotel overlooks the Bosphorus and the neighborhood of Kabatas, including Besiktas stadium. It is also a convenient walk to Nisantasi, one of the wealthiest and most fashionable neighborhoods in Istanbul. Along with the Four Seasons, Swissotel is one of the great foreign hotels in Istanbul.
I was able to visit Swissotel on two occasions. First, I spoke at an MBA conference given in the main conference area. The ballroom is extremely large and tastefully decorated. On another occasion I took my wife to lunch in the main dining area. The food was expensive but exquisite and we enjoyed wandering the lobby and shops afterward.

This hotel is famous for its magnificent terrace view on the Bosphorus. Boutique hotel with lots of facilities, but rooms are not as beautiful and as new as the rest of the hotel. Breakfast is amazing!

Perfectly nice accommodations. Could not afford Ciragan Palace or Four Seasons Bosphorus, our top choices. Highlight is rooftop view - absolutely stunning. Main complaint is that this "resort" is secluded - trying to be a resort. I would have preferred House hotel in Nisantasi - more boutique feel and surrounded by cafes, etc.

This is a great hotel, on an average location overlooking the Bosphorus. The standard room is generally spacious, comfortable but definitely outdated (as of 09). The lobby bar is a lively and fun spot, frequented by trendy guests, and great to people watch. The rooftop bar is super nice and romantic at night. Service was standard, somewhat rigid. The area is unfriendly for strolling around; the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Spice Bazaar are about 15mins by cab.
