Sycamore Canyon Park and Campground

9000 W. Pacific Coast Highway, Point Mugu State Park, Malibu, CA 90265

This spot near the Pacific Ocean is one of my favorite places to hike (and camp) in Southern California. Trails are lined with oak trees, creeks are full of frogs, and though easily accessible from the PCH, you'll feel a million miles away from civilization. I've always hiked here, but it's apparently also great for mountain biking.

I seem to be the odd one out, but I didn't have a very impressive experience when I was here. The burgers my dad and I ordered were good, but nothing special - I've had plenty better elsewhere - and my uncle's calamari was tough and chewy. The service was unfriendly and even rude - the cashier stared at me ...

Yes, this is a tourist trap, no doubt about it. But it is a great little cove on the beach in Malibu. The restaurant has a snack grill outside, with several groups of tables and chairs to relax with a brew or a bite to eat as you watch the waves or the tourists, in your bathing suit or shorts. ...

SPL is one of my favorite restaurants around Los Angeles. It's a destination restaurant if you live in the city because it's a bit of a drive to get there. The food is excellent, especially if you like game (that doesn't taste gamey). It's a rustic, elegant and tasteful place, but not stuffy. The three floors and patio areas of ...

Best fast food burger. Don't forget the fries-they are the best, but you have to eat them while they are hot. The menu is limited so if you're vegetarian go with the grilled cheese-it's yummy! Shakes are pretty good, too.

One of California's largest and most popular beaches, Zuma is known for its long, wide sands and excellent surf conditions. Wild dolphins are often seen playing close to shore, sometimes hamming it up for beach goers and eliciting their spontaneous applause.

You are def paying for the view. Dinner was great but we came here when the sun was down. So we didnt have a view. Service was top notch and they included the valet fee onto our check. a nice, upscale chain restaurant in the Ventura area. lots of healthy options. salmon was delicious and well prepared. service was attentive and earnest. I'm in Ventura a few times a year and I'd definitely go back here, especially since there's a dearth of good, healthy restaurants in the vicinity.

This place is just like a Shakey's. They have an average salad bar and bunch of different pizzas. There's an arcade and games for kids in a small section too. I've brought some of the teams I coach here for team meals when we're playing in Oxnard. There's plenty of space here, so it tends to work out for us. ...

The lines here are VERY long, and do not move quickly. It is worth the wait though - their sandwiches are fantastic (try the pulled pork). They have a separate bakery counter where you pay, which is an excellent marketing strategy since passing up the desserts on display takes some strong willpower. I had a rocky road bar (amazing), but ...
