This review is NOT for the hotel; it's just for the hot tubs & the spa. We live in SLO County, and this hot-springs resort is probably the best on the Central Coast. The hourly rates for renting a private hot tub are reasonable, and you can come dressed in your PJs and robe, and nobody minds (well, at least not after dark). Tip: check out the map of where each hot tub is at, and pick one way up the hill on the end of one of the walking paths if you really want some privacy. Bring water, too!Recommended for:

For us, this place only an hour away from Goleta. We literally just a had 24 hour vacation here (and in the surrounding area) and it was great. Our room had it's own mineral hot tub in it that we used the whole time. The mineral water smells like sulfur (or rotten eggs) but you get used to it and realize how good that water is for skin and overall health. There are cool hiking trails and meditation gardens to take advantage of, and they also offer Tai Chi and Yoga classes all day that are included too. We will definitely come back here again to relax and enjoy the hot tubs and peaceful setting.Recommended for:

One of the nicer resorts near SLO, Sycamore is 10-15 minutes from either San Luis or Pismo Beach. What it has that the others don't is natural hot springs flowing out of its hill, into private hot tubs for two or four, or the Oasis Pool for 30 of your dearest friends, such as on a special occasion. It's a peaceful, well-appointed spa resort that will provide the getaway you've been seeking...even if you just rent a private tub for an hour...
