Exceptional service, great location, wonderful rooms. This hotel is located in a great location and begins on the 8th floor so you are guaranteed a view. While you don't have views of the opera house, you can soak in the city. Recommend buying access to the club lounge. They offer full and expansive breakfast offering. It is very spacious and ...

    Westin Sydney

    Class:

Excellent! - 91% of guests recommend

Formerly a post office, this Westin has the most unique architecture. The exposed glass roof created lots of light and airiness. We went during non-peak season and scored this gem for $110/night. The best parts were the super comfortable bed and the free gourmet breakfast. Not only did the have fresh baked breads and pastries, but also eggs benedict with ...

    Sheraton on the Park

    Class:

Excellent! - 90% of guests recommend

I stayed here in 2008 on a business trip and found it a great hotel. The rooms are comfortable, with a little couch in the room for a psuedo "living room" area. There are lots of shops nearby and lots of taxis available in the area. The service here is as you would expect, friendly but not over the top. ...

    Hilton Sydney

    Hilton Sydney

    Class:
    4.5
    8 reviews
Excellent! - 87% of guests recommend

The Hilton Sydney is much fancier than any Hilton I've ever stayed in, but maybe I haven't been trying hard enough. I was certainly surprised at the service and the room based on the price I paid. I was in walking distance of the Botanical Gardens and the waterfront, so I had everything I needed.

I'm not big on my chain hotels, but the Intercon in Sydney scores for its location and some pretty decent service too. Although you'll pay a premium for it, make sure you bag a harbour view room. What's the point in staying here, otherwise?

BLUE Sydney - A Taj Hotel

BLUE Sydney - A Taj Hotel

    Class:

Excellent! - 87% of guests recommend

The Blue Hotel is located right on the harbor at Woolloomooloo - you get ocean views from almost every room. Its a Taj Hotel, so is nicely styled and has a cool bar in the central lobby with amazingly high ceilings. It is an easy walk to almost anywhere, but I felt the location felt a bit isolated - not ...

Very Good! - 83% of guests recommend

Based on the reviews of Kings Cross we wanted a safe, reputable hotel that was also walking distance to the bars and restaurants. Another gogobot user had recommended the Diamant and it didn't disappoint. Modern rooms with free wifi and most importantly, as we were there on the hottest day in Australia's history, air conditioning! As a sidenote I didn't ...

Love the name of the hotel! Great location in the city and it's a close walk to Darling Harbour. The rooms are nice and clean. The Menzies Sydney

    Class:
    3.5
    6 reviews
Good! - 78% of guests recommend

The Menzies has probably seen better days, but it's a bit rough around the edges for a business hotel. The service and amenities are good, the price is decent, and the location near Darling Harbor is excellent. The hotel is across the park from Wynyard Station, which is a direct stop on the Airport Express train.

Just like the archeological site this hostel sits on top of, the Sydney Harbour YHA is an absolute gem of a find. Family, twin and double rooms are available and some even come with harbour views. ...

    The Darling

    4.5

Excellent! - 90% of guests recommend

Was a little apprehensive about this place before arriving as it's part of the Star Casino complex in the rather sterile, corporate development that is Darling Harbour. If you can accept that there's nothing which speaks to the city's heritage within a one-mile radius then you'll be happy enough. For a city where many of the hotels just don't try ...
