Definitely a place you have to go while you're in Sydney!! It's great to visit on the outside and take pictures and better to go inside and catch a show! Shows are not as expensive as you think. I caught a cabaret performance that was less than $40 in Australian dollars. The venue inside has great acoustics and just an awesome feeling rushes over you that you're in the Sydney Opera House and watching a performance inside!

Beautiful!!! Our hotel was a 10 minute walk to the Opera House. I wasn't able to go inside but just the exterior alone was an amazing site. You can take a boat ride and take tons of great pictures as well.

The most famous architecture that is going along with Sydney is amazing to look from close from the Bridge and from the Boat ride out of Circular Quay.

Assisti a um concerto maravilhoso, não imaginava o quanto o local era imenso por dentro, suas conchas proporcionam uma acústica perfeita. Uma delícia explorar as lojinhas que ficam do lado de fora do local.

Arguably the most iconic building in all of Australia, maybe even the world, the Sydney Opera House is quite breathtaking. The steps heading up to it alone contributes to your daily work out. On any given day, thousands of people flock here for a picture. My group and I were no different. The architecture is quite beautiful and I was amazed how different it looks from a different angle. This is a must see for any visitor to Sydney.

Just gorgeous. Don't miss it when in Sydney (it's actually impossible to miss!) If you can try to see an opera there. It's a special experience.

I've heard they did some remodeling on the inside since I was there. It's a pretty nifty place to see an event.

The Sydney Opera House is famous for its structure. When seen from different angles,it looks totally different! There are places to eat, stay and shop nearby. I got there by renting a water taxi from Darling Harbour. The water taxi can take about 20 people and can give you a tour at an extra cost. The water taxi will drop you at a nearby jet boat stand. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the Opera House after that. There are other ways to get there which you can discover on your own. I hope this helped!

Check out the outside bar, its a great place to share a bottle of wine with friends. And know that you don't have to pay for a tour just to walk around inside, go take a peak or see a show!

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to go inside but I just had to walk around the outside! It's such an Australian landmark that it'd be silly not to! The architecture is absolutely beautiful!

Iconic symbol of Sydney, of Australia, the Sydney Opera House is an architecturally innovative, aesthetically pleasing, and fantastically practical structure.

The Opera House is a must for both locals and tourists, if you can check out an Opera in the main hall or try an edgier play often housed in The Studio, take a tour during the day and check out the views late at night, beautiful.

I think like most large tourist attractions, when you see the Sydney Opera House it doesnt look as grand and beautiful as it does in pictures. That said, it was still cool to see it in person and go on tour. We are able to see a dance rehearsal which was pretty neat. I think it would be best to actually see a performance in the opera house.

We parked the car outside Botanic Garden then walking from there to the Opera House on a rainy day. The scenery was spectacular, and we bought an inside tour, which gave a lot of interesting info on how the Opera House was built. Great experience!

It looks just like all of the pictures, but perhaps less majestic. I don't know if anyone actually goes in, but people are certainly focused on getting every different angle they can of this iconic Sydney attraction. Seeing it at night from a ferry is definitely one of the best views you'll get.

The most iconic building in Sydney, the opera house is a must see. Worth looking on line before your visit to see what is playing and trying to grab tickets - shows are popular and often sell out so booking in advance is recommended. If you are not an opera buff, come for a stroll around sunset for great dramatic views.

Description

With its six pointed arches that resemble shark fins, Sydney's Opera House is one of the most recognizable buildings in the world. Although you'll find it in the harbor of the Australian capital, the iconic modern structure was built by a Danish architect.
