Definitely a place you have to go while you're in Sydney!! It's great to visit on the outside and take pictures and better to go inside and catch a show! Shows are not as expensive as you think. I caught a cabaret performance that was less than $40 in Australian dollars. The venue inside has great acoustics and just an awesome feeling rushes over you that you're in the Sydney Opera House and watching a performance inside!

Arguably the most iconic building in all of Australia, maybe even the world, the Sydney Opera House is quite breathtaking. The steps heading up to it alone contributes to your daily work out. On any given day, thousands of people flock here for a picture. My group and I were no different. The architecture is quite beautiful and I was amazed how different it looks from a different angle. This is a must see for any visitor to Sydney.

The Sydney Opera House is famous for its structure. When seen from different angles,it looks totally different! There are places to eat, stay and shop nearby. I got there by renting a water taxi from Darling Harbour. The water taxi can take about 20 people and can give you a tour at an extra cost. The water taxi will drop you at a nearby jet boat stand. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the Opera House after that. There are other ways to get there which you can discover on your own. I hope this helped!

I think like most large tourist attractions, when you see the Sydney Opera House it doesnt look as grand and beautiful as it does in pictures. That said, it was still cool to see it in person and go on tour. We are able to see a dance rehearsal which was pretty neat. I think it would be best to actually see a performance in the opera house.

We parked the car outside Botanic Garden then walking from there to the Opera House on a rainy day. The scenery was spectacular, and we bought an inside tour, which gave a lot of interesting info on how the Opera House was built. Great experience!

It looks just like all of the pictures, but perhaps less majestic. I don't know if anyone actually goes in, but people are certainly focused on getting every different angle they can of this iconic Sydney attraction. Seeing it at night from a ferry is definitely one of the best views you'll get.

The most iconic building in Sydney, the opera house is a must see. Worth looking on line before your visit to see what is playing and trying to grab tickets - shows are popular and often sell out so booking in advance is recommended. If you are not an opera buff, come for a stroll around sunset for great dramatic views.
