- Table Mountain National ParkDec 24, 2013
Many people assume the national park is only the mountain standing over Cape Town, but the park extends farther south, all the way to Cape Point. There are short or multi-day hikes, gorgeous views, and baboon and ostrich sightings.

The views from the top of Table Mountain are some of the best in the entire world. The gondola to the top is closed when the winds are high, so be sure to check before you leave and make sure it's running. Otherwise be prepared for a rigorous hike up to the top.

Table Mountain National Park stretches from Signal Hill down to Cape point. Much of it is free to visit. We have visited mainly Cape of Good Hope, Boulders and Silvermine all of which you need to pay to enter. The park also includes False Bay and Table Mountain. The area is recognised as a Natural World Heritage Site, and its easy to see why. There is such a diversity of flora and fauna to be explored. Just a lovely place.
