    Taipei Backpackers Hostel

    Taipei Backpackers Hostel

    4.5
    2 reviews

The hostel's entrance is located in kind of a shady alleyway, but once you step through the door, it’s like walking into a 5-star hostel. Once you walk in, there’s a gorgeous fireplace to the side and the common area has a real design element to it. There’s also a basic kitchen and a lot of different backpackers books and ...

Holo International Family Travel Hostel (formerly Key Mall Traveler Hostel)

Holo International Family Travel Hostel (formerly Key Mall Traveler Hostel)

    4
    2 reviews

The Holo International Family Travel Hostel (also previously called the Key Mall Traveler Hostel and a couple other names) is literally located on the 22nd floor of Key Mall, a large building with electronics stores, restaurants, and a DAISO (the Japanese chain where everything costs NT$39) on the lower floors. The rooms are basic but quiet and clean. There are ...

    iTaipei Service Apartment

    4.5
    6 reviews

If you are looking to stay in Taipei for a couple weeks or more, the i-Taipei Service Apartments are in a great location and a good deal for the money. It’s in the same building as the Qsquare shopping mall, with tons of stores, restaurants, and a movie theater on the fourth floor. And of course, the MRT, train, and ...

    Miyi Hotel

    Miyi Hotel

    4
    4 reviews

The Miyi Hotel is a low-mid range hotel with everything you need, comfortable and clean rooms in a good location. It’s maybe about a 7-8 minute walk from Taipei Main Station. The rooms were quite comfortable, though small, and the lower-tier rooms do not have a window. Still, the beds were very comfortable and clean, and every room has its ...

    Ambience Hotel

    Ambience Hotel

    Hotel Class:
    3.5
    2 reviews

If location is important to you, Ambience Hotel may not be your first choice. It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere in terms of public transportation routes, and the surrounding neighborhood isn’t too special. But once you step through the doors, the interiors are bright and inviting. The design scheme uses a white/grey color palette that is quite soothing. ...

    San Want Residences

    San Want Residences

    Hotel Class:
    3.5
    3 reviews

I stayed here during a bachelor party and the location was great. Right in the center of going out and eating and shopping. Walking distance to MRT and malls. The rates were decent too. The rooms are out dated but you get what you pay for.

    Grand Hotel Taipei

    Grand Hotel Taipei

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    7 reviews

When our dragon boat team raced in Taiwan, we stayed at the Yuanshan Great Hotel (圓山大飯店). As one of the world's tallest Chinese classical buildings, this landmark hotel has hosted several foreign dignitaries. Moreover, Taipei's Grand Hotel was featured in "Eat Drink Man Woman," a Taiwanese film directed by Ang Lee. The Grand Hotel's roof showcases a flair for Chinese ...

    Sheraton Taipei Hotel

    Sheraton Taipei Hotel

    Hotel Class:
    4
    5 reviews

Taipei has a handful of top end luxury hotels to choose from and the options keep growing. I highly recommend the Sheraton Taipei because of its accessible location to public transportation and extremely compassionate staff. I broke my ankle during my stay and the staff went above and beyond to make me as comfortable as they could. They took care ...

    Hotel Eclat

    Hotel Eclat

    Hotel Class:
    5
    4 reviews

Hotel Eclat is a great place to stay, very glamorous and fashionable. The room design is really special, with glass doors on the armoire and mirrored nightstands. I liked the cute little retro phones. The showers are designed with slatted wooden paneling on the floor, giving them both a very natural feeling as well as making them comfortable and slip-proof. ...

Very nice room in a very convenient location. Selection and quality of breakfast food is just okay (comes at a bit of a disappointment) for this class of hotel.

    Palais de Chine

    Palais de Chine

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    4 reviews

The interior design and atmosphere of the Palais de Chine is kind of awkward, like they wanted to do something different but tried too hard, and ended up coming off kind of pretentious. The interior is very dark, and there’s lots of creepy statues (starting with the first one you see of a giant horse). It’s like a scene out ...

    Les Suites Taipei Da-An

    Les Suites Taipei Da-An

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    4 reviews

Comfortable somewhat luxurious spot to stay in Taipei. Luckily, I had an "in" and so had a discounted rate. Definitely walking distance to various shopping areas and easy access to the MRT. Only downsides were a slight dankness to the room and furnishings that seemed built with more style than substance.

    Le Meridien Taipei 台北寒舍艾美酒店

    4.5

If you want total luxury, your best bet is Le Méridien Taipei, the city’s newest and most luxurious five-star hotel. It’s located in the fashionable Xinyi District, but in the quiet part – you won’t be bothered by the crowds or noise, but you’re just a short walk away from the best shopping and entertainment, very close to the MRT ...

    The Sherwood Taipei

    The Sherwood Taipei

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    4 reviews

In general The Sherwood has always given me the feeling of being kind of a generic international business hotel. But the décor is nice and simple, elegant. There’s lots of artwork and collectibles displayed around the hotel, and several restaurant options. It seems to be very popular with Japanese guests. And unlike other hotels you have to stay in the ...

    Regent Taipei

Regent has a reputation for being one of the best hotels in Taipei. The service is very attentive, and it’s located in a very high-fashion area, with lots of trendy shopping and boutiques. The restaurants produce very good gourmet cuisine. The location is convenient. And everything is very upscale in design. You really feel feel like a VIP as soon ...

    Hotel 73

    Hotel 73

    4
    4 reviews

The design of Hotel 73 is very modern and sleek. The hotel makes you feel like you’re in an art gallery, which makes it a little hard to approach. It doesn’t feel very relaxing. There’s even artwork and photography on display in the lobby, along with little crafts and designer items for sale, really designed like a little art gallery. ...

    Grand Hyatt Taipei

    Hotel Class:

The Grand Hyatt is a pretty cool hotel. You can tell immediately when you walk into the 3 story high vaulted ceiling lobby. It's just Grand. The rooms are what you'd expect from a Hyatt ... nice and tasteful. Nothing too over the top to write home about. It's close enough to the MRT station which is nice, and it's ...

    Landis Taipei Hotel

A little bit of London's Savoy Hotel where you least expect it: downtown Taipei. Impeccable service, some gorgeous original features. Book a suite, wear a smoking jacket and serve cocktails at your in-room bar to complete the Noel Coward moment.

    Hotel Quote Taipei

    Hotel Quote Taipei

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    3 reviews

The most amazing thing about this hotel is the HQ Lounge, designed like your own (albeit, large and immaculately designed) home kitchen. The complimentary breakfast is served here, but it's open 24 hours to guests and stocked with an array of complimentary coffee, tea, fruit, cookies, chips, candy, and other snacks. Have you ever found yourself unable to sleep at ...
