    Taipei 101 (台北101)

    4.5
    123 reviews

Taipei 101 has become an icon of the city. This building most certainly deserves the attention. This building was thoughtfully designed mixing the traditional components with modern once, making a beautiful piece of architecture. The inside: Brand shopping. The view: nice, but I prefer having a view of Taipei 101 from a distinct point.

    Shilin Night Market

    4.5
    73 reviews

One of my favorite experiences in Taipei. The food scene is amazing here, we went from stand to stand and made a night out of continuously eating. The price is very friendly compared to the US, basically you can grab anything for about a dollar US. There are many local specialties like smelly tofu, egg omelet curry, potato chips on ...

    National Palace Museum

    4.5
    50 reviews

When Chiang Kai-shek fled to Taiwan in 1931, he also brought along the world's largest collection of ancient Chinese artifacts. Today, the National Palace Museum houses this collection. It'll take a whole day—and a good pair of walking shoes—to take in all the artwork at the museum, but it is well-worth it. You won't find a more well-preserved and more ...

It has awesome food, awesome clothes & the shop owner gave me discounts when i went to buy their clothes! It's a place for young people to shop all they want. You can find loads of small food stalls while shopping around, no worries about your empty stomach or thirsty throat. Their 阿宗面线(Ah Chung Mee Sua), is a must try! ...

    Maokong Gondola (貓空䌫車)

    4.5
    27 reviews

This is a really interesting way to see Taipei. You get in one of the gondola lifts and it takes you across numerous stops to the mountain top. If you are afraid of heights, then this is not for you. The gondola goes quite high and even slants upwards when going past mountains. Once at the final stop at the ...

One of my favorite night markets. It has a younger crowd as it is around the ShiDa College. It's one of the smaller night markets but great place to check out for more in fashion clothes and some yummy food.

It's an easy ride on the MRT to the Taipei Zoo :) It was still hot during October though so if you go during that time, be sure to bring a hat and lots of water! My favorite exhibit was definitely the Panda. I was able to see some young ones and see them play with their mother :) The ...

    Taroko National Park (太魯閣國家公園)

Absolutely gorgeous! This park reminded me a lot of Zion National Park in the states. I took a guided tour (by way of my hostel) with a guide that didn't speak a word of English. Unfortunately, I was unaware where I was or what I was looking at...but the beauty speaks for itself. If you have the opportunity to leave ...

yeliu's iconic scenery is the effect of the ocean tides repeatedly pounding against the sedimentary rocks. the result is an other-wordly landscape replete with hidden tide pools depending on high or low tides.

Walking along this old street is so fun. Getting here is a bit scary as the taxi weaves its way up the mountain, but there's quite a few places to eat and shop! Lots of history :)
