Amazing street food in Mumbai - totally safe - only open at night. There is usually a huge line to get food here, and it is worth waiting for. Everything is fresh and delicious.Popular withFoodiesLocalBackpackers

Relaxed place with a mix of tourists and locals. Great food and pretty cheap, offers a mix of Indian, Chinese and western food. The chicken tikka was delicious (250 rupis) and so was everything else (can of Pepsi 50 rupis, beer 160).

Forget Gokul or Bade Miya, this place owns. Might seem a little dodgy but I haven't had better Mughlai food for such reasonable prices anywhere in this city. Excellent service, good variety and authentic Mughlai 'to die for' preparations. Key Highlights: Size of the Tandoori Rotis, Caramel Custard, Butter Chicken, Mutton Masala.

The best mexican/tex-mex restaurant in India and likely the only place you get super authentic nachos, fajitas and the works. Also a superb margherita. Its a new 2010 opening in the bustling suburb of Bandra known for the newest and hottest eateries.

My favorite go to restaurant in Mumbai for their reliable classics. Service is always good. I enjoy sitting on the patio any time of year. Monsoon rains, no problem. Warm nights, delightful. Breakfast is enjoyable too. Don't skip a visit to their pastry shop.Popular withBusinessDesignFoodies

If you've had your fill of Indian food and want something different, check out one of the many branches of Moshe's, a pan-Mediterranean restaurant run by an Indian Jew who got his inspiration living on a kibbutz in Israel.
