A very different hotel. Certainly not like any other hotel we have ever stayed with. You feel like you are in the middle of the jungle with exotic plants and animals. A nice experience with a friendly atmosphere.Popular with

Who Should Go: Surfers, active couples, and families with older kids Why: This glorious arc of Pacific beach has attracted surfers since the ’60s, and when you see the ocean from the ideal vantage point of Barceló Langosta Beach, you’ll understand why. Getting in touch with nature here isn’t a challenge: without any more effort than a stroll along the ...Popular with

Not sure about the surf camp itself - although it seems to be the most popular due to legendary Robert August, world surf star of The Endless Summer, hand-shapes boards here - but I had an incredible soup here. Costa Rican seafood soup in milk. Quite extraordinary, large portion. Couldn't finish.Popular with

Hey Brian, Jardin del Eden Hotel is one of the best places to stay at in Tamarindo Beach. Beautiful ocean views, relaxing swimming pool, nice decor rooms and very friendly staff.

A great bread and breakfast with right on the beach. Also has a great pool to lounge out. The couple that runs the place are very charming and fun to hang out with (I actually had Christmas Dinner with them). The rooms are great for small groups (I think we had 3 people) or families.Popular with

This review is not of accommodations, but of the breakfast buffet offered at the resort. We stopped here to eat while waiting for a shuttle to get us out of Tamarindo. The hotel offered a fantastic breakfast buffet for about $10 per person - yes, pricey, but it was a welcome culinary respite for us. The fruit, omelet bar, and ...

This hotel is on the outer edge of Tamarindo and sits right next to the river. True to it's namesake, the river actually does have crocodiles in it! A fact that I did not find out until about a week of me crossing it back and forth with a surfboard! It's backyard is semi private due to some walls and ...
