Lake Manyara is often overlooked by travellers to the Serengeti, but it is one of the more beautiful places I've been to. Manyara Tree Lodge is surrounded by wildlife and birds. You can't beat the creative architecture either, and it is very much like staying in the most beautiful tree house you've ever seen. If you have the time to ...Popular with

The gorgeous villas are located on a coffee plantation just outside town, on the road to the Ngorongoro Crater. The rooms were beautiful but what I remember most was the warm and friendly staff.Popular with

If you fancy wild civet cats running through the rafters, and hyenas coming close to the campfire, then this is the place for you. Ndutu is one of the wonderful places to see the annual migration of the wildebeest, and the residence of world famous wildlife filmmaker Hugo van Lawick for 30 years -- because of the plethora of game ...

Another fantastic reserve on mainland. This is a game easy to be done also in 3 days only. We suggest to chose a tented camp to stay close to the many rivers that cross the region.

Very luxurious and lovely hotel on the edge of the Indian Ocean. Great spot to stay in if you have a flight leaving out of Dar es Salaam, or perhaps on your way to Zanzibar and you want a stop over. Huge beds, great food, and a wonderful beach atmosphere. Wouldn't hesitate for one second to stay here again!

Had my last week of my honeymoon here and it couldn't be better! The hotel is located on an amazing beach and you don't really need to go anywhere from here because they have so many options for food and activities. The spa is absolutely amazing and is located on top of a hill where you can see the amazing ...

Mapito translated into English means "path". As in this place sits right smack in the middle of the great migration. Sadly we missed being visited by literally thousands of wildebeast by just a couple of weeks, yet we still had an amazing time. The camp sits just outside the main gate of the Serengeti National Park. So your chances of ...

The rooms themselves were less than impressive but the staff and the grounds and the fact that you're staying on a working farm and coffee plantation makes up for that. You won't even want to spend time in the room when there are spectacular views, fantastic coffee and tea, a gorgeous dining room, and hiking trails to discover. You can ...Popular with

This "eco" friendly camp is perfect for those looking to "rough" it without really "roughing" it. This mobile camp is situated in the heart of the Serengeti National Park. The camp offers comfortable tents and does a great job eliminating the human foot print. Each guest is allowed on 20 liters per day of water for showering etc and solar ...

The KIA lodge is a beautiful and spawling property conveniently located near the Airport which makes this a great option to stay at arrival and before leaving Arusha on that long journey into/ out of Tanzania. The rooms are casitas styled and are very spacious complete with air conditioning and mosquito nets (both are much appreciated amenities). Other great amenities ...

Aside from the neighborhood and the lack of activities around it, Alexander's is arguably the best place to stay in Dar. It's a boutique hotel that has full service offerings: great food, a rooftop bar, and a swimming pool. The rooms are spotless, the staff superb (the gate guards are Masai warriors!), and the owner always jovial and friendly. Alexander ...

Don't have to look anywhere else, this place was beyond spectacular. Ownership family is extremely friendly; beach is amazing; staff is friendly; and food is delicious. Definitely a different view of Zanzibar but it was my favorite part of my trip to East Africa.Popular with
