    Taos Pueblo

    28 reviews

Worth the price of admission and quite an experience. A physically unique and spiritually mindful place. We pretty much saw the Pueblo on our own, although we listened in on a few groups. We also bought a neat drum for my son and otherwise tried to support the local merchants.

If you don't like heights, you probably won't like this view either. Otherwise, it is a wonder of the West. About 10 miles from Taos, this route adds another scenic way to drive from Taos to Snta Fe and you could make a quick stop at the baths at Ojo Caliente. Made In New Mexico

    1 review

At the bottom end of Taos Plaza, this store is the best place for locally made items - for yourself or as gifts. Most stores on the Plaza carry cheap imports, but everything in this store really is made in New Mexico.

    US Hill

    1 review

US Hill is located in Carson National Forest. During most of the drive there, we started getting worried that we either missed it, interpreted the directions incorrectly, or that the directions were wrong altogether, until we turned a corner and immediately saw it. There was no possible way we could've missed it - a beautiful open field of pure, white ...
