    Barracks Row Main Street

    0.16 mi from Ted's Bulletin
    1 review

Barracks Row is a revitalized, downtown, pedestrian neighborhood with wide sidewalks, small bistros and jammed-packed pubs (both military and non-military). The small area, with brick paved roads and elm trees offering their charm, is a favorite of locals and it is obvious as the sidewalks fill up with people holding a drink and waiting for a table. There are dozens ...

Any trip to DC is really highlighted by a visit to the US Capitol. Contact your state senator or congressman at least 3 months before your trip to secure tickets and a tour. A young intern will most likely provide the tour. Their enthusiasm is infectious!

Once again, the profoundness of this place invigorates me. The energy that surrounds the Capitol Building is something that you only find there. It's where it all happens, whether you agree with the general outcome or not, and makes it a very special place to visit.

Supreme Court of the United States

    0.74 mi from Ted's Bulletin
    10 reviews

The Supreme Court is an impressive building. The history and tall, imposing columns adds a sense of gravitas as you enter the court house. It is difficult to walk in there without thinking of the major landmark cases that were decided there such as Roe v. Wade, Brown v. Board of Education, etc.

Art and color reclaimed this 138 year old building nestled in Southwest DC; two amazing artists painted the Exterior (HENSE - ATL) and Interior (MEGGS - AUS) of the building but there is still quite a bit to do... But it is a start in a neighborhood that could use some sprucing up. The gallery has ambitious plans. I can't ...

I never knew it was so easy to visit your senator's office! We went over to the Russell building in order to get passes to view the House and Senate rooms (which, sadly, we didn't have time to visit), and found that you can literally walk right into the office of any senator... Of course, you're going to be speaking ...

Among Washington's many qualities as a city is how easy it is to escape the urban hustle and bustle and retreat into the outdoors. Although Anacostia has long been DC's much maligned (and with reason) neighborhood, it's becoming increasingly more frequented. With reason. Offering spectacular views of the city and river, this serene park offers a wide variety of activities ...
