Really!!! There is a Temple Bar in Temple Bar, Dublin! The area is lively and fun. There are also weekend festivals and markets that makes this area more interesting. Cheers!

This is a really fun place to drink. Conveniently located and great atmosphere. Can get touristed in summer but fine in the off-season.

It's THE Temple Bar in The Temple Bar so of course it is packed! We were tere on Labor Day weekend and you could not get inside. I'm not sure how it is on a normal weekend but I would recommend checking it ot on a weekday, the bars here are always busy!

Incredibly touristy but somehow it still retains a bit of authenticity. The architecture is great in this area and it has a lot of atmosphere. You also have to admire the fact that so many people are somehow able to party until so late.

A must-see but try to get off the main strip or get lost in the back alleys. There are still bars that primarily cater to locals. You just have to seek them out.

The area is ful of pubs, bars and nightlie. A great place to eat drink and be merry! A hotel right in this section will be very cosmopolitan. We stayed 6 blocks away for a quieter sleep. For a castle in the north? I will be waiting on YOUR reviews!

This is the worlds most popular bar and landmark within the Temple Bar District. Ironically, the district is named after this famed bar. This is a lively place with great beer selection and live Irish music. It gets crowded so expect to stand.

Perfect mix of local, expat and tourist. I found myself amidst Irish and expats that are all eager to have a laugh. It was the start of a long but fun night. Tip for around xmas: wear an ugly xmas jumper with lights, they'll play your song right away!(out of pity maybe?)

Loud and fun and crowded. One of dozens of pubs in the same area. Very touristy but okay for a pint before crawling on.

Popular bar in the main area of entertainment. There is plenty of seating as well as an outdoor area. There is also an outdoor patio you can drink on. Irish music and dancing is bound to occur! A really great Pub Crawl leaves from here each night. You can purchase tickets at the tourist offices or through your hostel. You go to about 5 places, get drink specials, meet new people and it's a great time!!

This is easily the most famous tourist bar in Dublin which makes it fun to see but difficult to get drinks.

Obviously catering to tourists, Temple Bar isn’t bad to visit during the day to look at the buildings that line the cobblestone streets. There are entirely too many pubs in the city to go out of your way for one here though.

Very tacky and touristy area full of pubs. Some gems can be found amongst the usual chain pubs and restaurants.

Not to be a kill joy but there are lots of other proper Irish pubs in Dublin than the clap happy tripe that passes for Ireland in this place - shop around! Try the trad session in Cassidy's pub on Camden St on a Sunday evening if you're looking for somewhere with a genuine appreciation for Irish music.

Nice cobblestone streets and some quirky shops. Lots of pubs and restaurants but a little too touristy for my liking.

This is where the nightlife is. The buzz of activity begins around lunch time and goes on to the late hours. Great pubs, music food and even a little culture. Car-free zone. From our apartment you cross the river using Halfpenny Bridge. We are on the quiet side of the River Liffey but Temple Bar is only a 5 minutes walk.

Description

It’s amazing how things change. In the 1980s, the neighborhood of Temple Bar was on the verge of being demolished to make way for a large transportation hub. But after local shops and residents protested, Dublin abandoned its construction plans and filled the neighborhood with vibrant shops, art galleries, restaurants and cafes. The energetic district features two plazas where local artists and ... read more
vendors commiserate. The cobbled medieval streets make walking to and from its lively nightlife all the more appealing.
