It's ideal for a weekend trip. The Smokies are a great place to hike with flowing rivers and streams, but the area surrounding the mountains particularly the restaurants and shops are a little bit too much on the kitschy side.

The Jack Daniels Distillery and the shops, restaurants, and friendly people involved make up this tiny hollow. Tourism is what brings those from around the word to see where its tasty whisky has originated. Unfortunately you have to go outside the county to obtain any alcohol as it is a dry county....crazy isn't it.
