The Pharmacy Burger Parlor & Beer Garden

    4.5
    11 reviews

The Pharmacy’s “biergarten” is magical at night. Light coversations fill the air while the overhead twinkle lights glow and the plants surround you. The menu is focused, but diverse enough, for any occasions. Go with the family in the afternoon and have milkshakes and hamburgers or go late at night with friends and have a beer and a bratwurst.

    Pinewood Social

    4.5
    3 reviews

Pinewood Social is nothing you've ever seen before: part social lounge, part diner, part living room, it's an intriguing concept from the minds behind some of Nashville's best places. Located a stones throw from the Nashville Strip and just across the river from trendy East Nashville, this place is a perfect blend of southern Americana and music city heritage not-too-offensively-hipster ...

    Mercy Lounge

The Mercy Lounge is housed in a complex that actually contains three separate clubs on Cannery Row in a beautiful old building. The Cannery Ballroom is a large room that hosts lots of national indie acts. The High Watt, located upstairs from the Cannery Ballroom, is a smaller room, with high ceilings, that hosts a lot of local rock acts. ...

    Hermitage Cafe

    4
    2 reviews

Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeahs once said the Hermitage Cafe has the best mac-n-cheese she's ever tasted. I think that might be overdoing it a bit, but there's no denying that the Hermitage Cafe has good food at even better prices. It's served to you with a side of sass by a waitress who'll call you "honey" then step ...

    Marche Artisan Foods

Great cafe in the heart of Nashville. A European eats type of cafe with the right touch of Southern cooking. Had the shrimp with grits and gravy and loved it. I almost licked the plate clean, so ...

    Pepperfire Hot Chicken

Let's get something straight: Pepperfire's "hot chicken sandwich" is not the same as Prince's or Bolton's. At those places, what they call a "sandwich" is bone-in fried chicken that's only tangentially a sandwich because it happens to sit atop a piece of white bread that soaks up all the spices and becomes hotter than hell. Pepperfire's sandwich is an actual ...

    City House

    5
    4 reviews

If I had one night in Nashville, I'd eat here. Nestled in a nondescript old home in the most obscure corner of Nashville, this unexpected gem offers high quality, sustainable and absolutely delicious Italian fare with a large helping of modern southern charm. If you can find it (and I say "if" because even our cab driver had no idea ...

    Loveless Cafe

    4.5
    21 reviews

Amazing biscuits- it is no surprise they make 7,000 of them a day. I also really love their fried chicken and fried green tomatoes. The staff is super nice and the gift shops are fun- you can pick up Jack Daniel's stuff and GooGoo Clusters. Try to hit the cafe on off-times, as there is almost always a wait. And ...

    Edley's BBQ

    4.5
    7 reviews

Edley’s East is second location for this popular Nashville barbeque joint. The restaurant is beautifully designed for the outdoor lover. The walls roll up to let air and light pour in the dining area and there is plenty of totally outdoor seating on the ample porch. I enjoy my messy ribs and brisket even more sitting outside.

    Virago

The patio is awesome at this asian fusion/sushi restaurant. It is outside but keeps the look of the sleek interior. There are always cool specials, like bacon fried rice, and their sushi is good (not just good for the South). It is a little pricier than most restaurants in the city, but the locale and food make it worthwhile.

    Flying Saucer

    4
    5 reviews

Flying Saucer is located in a historic stone building (former Union Station) in the downtown Nashville area. The selection of beers (over 200) is amazing and the food is decent. They have Ale, German, Irish beer amongst others. Some of those imported Belgiums are costly. Most pints are $3 on Mondays. Service was also good and the staff was friendly. ...

Great local bar, eatery and music venue that will pretty much have great local music every night of the week. Family friendly and quirky, this is where all of the East Nashvillians tend to hang out. Check out their pint and pie night on Tuesdays!
